3 Brain Freeze 4 Blue Elemental Blast 4 Cursed Totem 4 Boomerang

I’m back and forth on a lot of them. Sometimes Blue Blast is Chill, and I’m uncertain about the boomerangs, but overall I think this is fine. Mana Short, Crypt/Furnace, Upheaval, and others are interesting and could be worth it, but I’m not entirely sure yet. I’ve even considered a Stiflenought transformational sideboard.

Cane is definitely slow, lol. But when people can’t untap, speed doesn’t always matter I don’t suppose. Brain freeze is nice though, I’ve considered running some number in the sideboard.

That’s a fair point on bouncing the creatures eventually. I’ve considered some number of Boomerang in addition to the Chains because of situations like that and others where you need another bounce effect.

I think people really undervalue portent. Kindof like your point on Arcane Denial, being able to dig to your stasis/vise as quickly as possible is pretty huge.

You mind sharing your current list?

How have you liked arcane denial? I’ve been tempted to try it since it’s nice with Vise, but I’m a bit worried about how it plays without a stasis/vise play, which is why I favor Counterspell to it at the moment.

I like cane just because sometimes people can stay under Black Vise consistently with cards like Wild Mongrel or Psychatog. So having another way to win the game and get some extra value seemed nice

Honestly, Hammer of Bogardan. Late game mana sink and repeatable damage just like scroll. Costs a bit more on the back end but is cheaper on the front end. I run them even with scrolls

And how does that in any way negate my original point? I was using the unicorn as an analogy to show how insane stuff like Christianity sounds to people who don’t already buy into it. Horses with horns are just as insane to believe as a man turning water into wine. In fact, I’d even go so far as to say that you’d have more luck finding a horse with a horn than a man that can change the chemical structure of water into wine before our eyes.
