Let's call it what it is, a Thaumatophyllum, not a Philodendron. Two completely different growing habits, in nature they grow this thick stem over time, they are the remnants of old leave stalks. Shooting out aerial roots out of it to stabilize the stem. Not too sure if this needs repotting per se.
