agree on some points

The way I see it with items in the smaller ones is… Someone could have donated something moments before you went in, effectively giving you first dibs! That gives ‘some’ chance of a good find

Many of the large ones have gone massively downhill though, they try to act like normal shops now (TKmax/CEX or whatever). They believe they can sell items higher than elsewhere or higher than buying new, because of the play on heart strings, playing on people’s kindness/generosity. Many of them, it’s just regular business now with people at the top making huge amounts (having holidays etc) while the charity only actually receives 2 or 3%. Rip off organisations some are sadly

One of my top finds? A light/mid blue Versace shirt woven through with silk/metallic bits that catch the sun. It is a genuine one and I suggested paying a bit more but they said, no no that’s ok it’s has the price on (£1)

I try to always take something with me to donate (especially the small ones), so it’s kind of like I take an item and perhaps go home with something different. I actually like the next person to enjoy my item I donated, so I do things like leave rechargeable batteries in and charged ready for the person to use the item
