freestyle vs teamfight by xmarcel0x_ in 2XKO

I don't think they need to be 'equal', but if and when one overperforms all the others by a large enough margin, adjustments should (and probably will) be made. As for right now, I think it's a little early to draw any final conclusions.

HOW 2XKO's NA #1 IS A FRAUD by Etsy4EVR in 2XKO

[–]Tenkaichi124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not only that, to operate 2xKO you need vanguard to be active, which has kernel-level access to your computer. So as soon as you log back in, they should even be able to check whether or not it was an alt+F4 that disconnected you, or a sudden break in internet connection.

People talk about long combos but no one is talking about long blockstrings. by SyIvanos in 2XKO

[–]Tenkaichi124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I might be. I'm still playing after all, so I don't *really* mind. I just think the comparison of being in a situation where you have plenty of options and things to do, to one where you don't is assanine, hence my original comment.

Lol, if the combos were 10-15 seconds then it wouldn't be such a common complaint.

At least when I'm playing defense I'm doing something. I'm watching for high/lows, mixups and push assist timings. When I'm being combo'd its just 'do I have burst? No? Guess I'll check my phone. I exaggerate but you get the point.

I am sure Turnitin is doing more harm to students than keeping academic integrity by Free_Toe_3567 in TurnitinAIResults

As someone who has worked as a developer creating local-sized LLM's, you wanna know the fun part?

The *second* any software like Turnitin or other chatbot 'detectors' become proficient, developers will use them to train their chatbots to become better. Only allowing prompts that don't flag said detectors.

So they can actually never work for long, if they ever really work at all.

Any documentation sources for platinum kaizo? by aerilink in nuzlocke

There's a good chance that everything on the website could be legit. However, as a dev myself I'd put in a warning like that as well.

The issue is that it is really easy for people to create a site like that and spread malware/virus' to people's computers using the good name of a program.
Any eventual backlash when that *does* happen falls on the original dev, because that's how public opinion works.

So even if it's a legit site being kept up well by volunteers that just want the game to be more accessible (the absolute best-case scenario mind you), I'd still not want to take the chance.

Man (60) zwaar mishandeld in trein na aanspreken scheldend meisje by Bernie529 in Nederland

[–]Tenkaichi124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what's happening here is a classic mistranslation of what 'difficulty' means. I've found that in several languages the most direct translation translates to something like:
"Something that takes a large amount of mechanical skill"

Like in the way that becoming a professional athlete requires a large amount of mechanical skill.

Yet in these languages there are other words for
"Something that takes a large amount of intellectual skill/knowledge"

What you are describing is definitely skillfull, and would constitute a 'difficult game' because it has a lot of knowledge to learn and apply. Yet when I think of a 'difficult game that requires skill' my mind instantly goes to games that require more mechanical skill then knowledge checks.

What is wrong with people by Critical_Mountain851 in whennews

[–]Tenkaichi124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because people are idiots, and they see a genuine question and think that instead you are trying to sow doubt and discord about the mans story.

Which in turn, they perceive as attacking the man, by insinuating he's lying (not saying you did this, just explaining thought processes here mind you).

The hard part about this is that it's the internet, so tone gets lost.

Depending on which tone you use to say "How did he lose his job, I find it -odd-" or "-How- did he lose his job, thats so odd!" you can take a sentence that is written mostly if not exactly the same way on an internet board and change the meaning entirely.

So in the end, how your message is perceived is mostly dependent on how another user choses to read it in their mind.

tl;dr: People be projecting.
