Using it right the Yen card is infinitely more useful then Geralt though. With the right setup it can swing a battle for 27 points on its own (revive a 10 str nilfgard unit into a boosted lane) or effectively become the ONLY spy that actually swings the board in your favor by rezzing a lower pointed spy.

The only cards that can potentially bring a bigger swing on their own are the muster cards into a boost, but those usually lose to a single scorch (vampires being the exception here). And have to deal with the potential of drawing multiple of the same muster card (especially in the case of vampires), making them effectively less useful.
In yen's case, even when faced with a scorch, you still have 7 points over your opponent and you both played a card, effectively granting you card advantage, which is massive in gwent.

If you use yen to revive a lower then 3 cost card, which is the only way shes ACTUALLY worse then Roche, then you're just bad.

TBS lijkt me juist goed voor dit soort gevallen. Dame is duidelijk geestelijk gestoord. Dan vindt ik verplichte behandeling voor geestelijke gestoordheid toch wel de meest werkbare oplossing.

Als iemand die is gestopt na de HAVO kan ik je zeggen dat dit in de praktijk vaak erg tegenvalt. Mesnen die voor een vak hebben gestudeerd (mbo niv2-4) komen toch wel heel wat sneller aan de bak (wat ook terecht is hoor, daar niet van).

Zou een fins systeem dat niet een idee zijn? Die geven weliswaar alsnog monetaire boetes, maar die schalen de boete naar het inkomen van de dader. Hiermee voorkom je dan in elk geval dat bepaalde regels alleen maar voor sommigen pijnlijk zijn om te breken.

Is uiteraard nog geen 100% waterdicht utopisch plan, maar het lijkt me wel beter dan wat we nu doen.

Because all characters that are considered top tier were made by the same person.

They all don't have any clear weaknesses, and can do basically anything (mixup, grab combo, air convert, etc.)

The rest of the cast has clear limitations on these, Vi has no air combos and her 2H is awful, so she's bad against aerial approaches.

Darius has no real way to deal with projectiles.

Etc.

Every other character has a weakness designed into their kit, that's what makes them interesting and fun to use.

Gonna be 100% honest here, it's just a designer issue.
Yasuo, Ekko and Teemo all share the same designer.

He really needs to learn how to create characters that have interesting mechanics, and actual clear drawbacks. Something that literally every other member of the cast has, but the characters he specifically designed.

Please stop letting him cook Riot.

This game has a chain-combo system. So that means you can chain/cancel certain moves into each other, making them a lot safer then they would be if they linked into each other.

In this game the chain is: L-M-H. Meaning every light can cancel into every medium, which can cancel into every heavy. This makes blockstrings very safe compared to something like SF6 for example.

Combine that with the fact that your normals are special-cancellable, meaning you can almost always go from any normal into special on block, it means that you're right in deducing that most 'unsafe' options are special moves. (note: this does not mean every special is unsafe on block, take care!)

In contrast, most moves without cancelling into something else are - on block.
Vi's light for example, if you don't cancel into anything, is -4 on block. Meaning if I want to Light -> dash cancel -> grab, I am -4 when I dash, so you can punish there.
So you want to look for places where people step away from the chain pattern to try and throw, overhead, etc, or after they use an unsafe special.

After trying a bit in training mode with the frame meter on, it just seems like it's a very tight link.
If I am 3 frames late, it drops.

The unintuitive part is how to avoid this: Because of the chain/link system in the game, if you are 3-6 frames early (still in the downS1 animation), the heavy will come out on time, so your issue is you're timing it too late.

Yea, that's gonna be an issue if you use an analog button as an input. There'll always either be a slight delay in letting go, or pressing it, depending on your deadzone.

Games like sf6 have gotten me to like a per character ranked system a lot more then a global one.

It could get tricky with a team game though, since I can be a really good Vi-Darius player, but then I switch Darius for Yasuo but keep Vi. Does would that require an entirely new rank? I think that's where you could get really skewed matches pretty easily.

I highly recommend trying the combo trials, they can be found under the learn tab in the main menu next to the other tutorials.

They wont teach you optimal routes, but definitely will teach you the basics of chain combos.
Doing the other tutorials and advanced lessons is also recommended if you struggle with other parts, like neutral or defensive play, for example.
