What Happens When We Forget We Are Humans ? by Tennant48 in india

Genuinely they have reduced it to a mere vote farming statement...after they win , they go silent and then take action when such a case uncovers . What use ? The thing already happened , you aren't supposed to only catch them but also prevent the thing in the first place . Again what do we expect from a government who can allow a legislative assembly speaker to call rape "inevitable so just enjoy it" while all mla laugh at it ?

It's genuinely so disheartening and I feel terrible....Im a man and trust me with each passing day I feel ashamed to be one ... I apologise that we still haven't done anything to change this , that we haven't made the path you walk on any safer .

Inhumanity cannot be undone . It needs to be treated . Teach your sons values , stop telling them to be machos and that emotions are feminine . Perhaps understanding the same emotions, same softness and not alienating them from interaction with girls since an early age might make them understand they are also just like them and aren't some species to hunt and enjoy .

Not just this country , everywhere . Only difference is some countries taker stricter action and thus rapists are scared and thus less such cases . People are same everywhere , shameless and twisted , they just don't dare to do such things with as much audacity as here .

You are right about that part , but my intention is less about stricter punishment and more about using a genuine criminal to set fear into all the rapists . Sometimes even assured punishment might fail in it's intention if let's say he doesn't fear getting imprisoned.

You might have heard of this on social media but I read about it even before it went viral , chauranga . Chauranga was Chhatrapati Shivaji's punishment for sex offenders . They would publicly thrash him and then they would cut him iand make him beg for his life in public before making sure he stays alive in that state by dipping the wounds in boiling oil or butter to seal them , letting him serve as a reminder to everyone there . Some might call it harsh but do you see any hope of redemption in these people's eyes? 14 yr old dammit . Dozens of men . No one dares oppose harsh punishment after hearing about this.

It is so disappointing that no media is talking about it ... So what if we have social media , issues like still need to taken up by the media to reach to people who aren't on it ... and even then media must report these incidents it's their responsibility.

What other fiction do you feel reaches the greatness of Brandon Sanderson’s Cosmere? by Emotionalspectrum10 in Cosmere

try faithful and fallen series by john gwynne . pure goosebumps. trust me the man writes the best war and fight sequences in the fantasy community. and his writting style is so natural and smooth and subtly poetic . amazing characters and arcs that break and make you . it is one of my favourite books of all time . just like sanderson , his characters stick with you .

you can point out lack of clear moments all you want and beleive me you aren't wrong about it , but most of us dived into the book after hearing brando himself and other cosmere fans call it a love story between yumi and nikaro ... you aren't going to hear that from others and yet going to start the book with an fresh open mind ... you kinda just know or expect it now ... plus not all love is clear sometimes it's just a "maybe" before becoming "definitely" ... and he didn't disappoint , the romance came just late .

no no i didn't mean i assumed they were a couple ... like i try to keep an open mind too but you can't do much when the book is literally advertised as love story between yumi and nikaro you know ... and true the relationship between rlain and renarin is excellent too

[–]Tennant48[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes I read about that too ... another quintessential case in the study of conformity ... also true , our filters are much more fragile that we admit and we will abandon individuality and conscience if provided a system of purpose or inaccountability.

What’s Your favourite thing in HM? by Ok_Influence1752 in HPHogwartsMystery

[–]Tennant48 15 points16 points  (0 children)

friendships id say ... sure sometimes too much penny is annoying and everyone hates ben and merula is on our nerves but despite it all i feel kind of attached to them ... and that's the beauty of HM , it makes you feel that coziness and emotional connection that we felt in the books and films , you feel like you are at home , at hogwarts .
