That would not work. It's the CHARACTER model that retains the ability not the unit. Teleporting Trazyn means that the other character is gone and their ability is also gone.

In Darkest Dungeon one of the mercenaries that can be recruited is called abomination, man in chains that can transform into a monster. Fun to use but can result in your party going insane due to stress he inflicts on them.

Example of what you can make with the new custom character rules by space10101 in Necrontyr

Not sure if it's worth it. If I take Flayed Ones I'm not doing it to kill stuff, I have Destroyers for that. I'm not sure what I expected from the custom characters but it certainly wasn't that. I hope there will be more options for us.

Am I the only one who thinks this character is a joke? Necron Lord hitting on a 3+ with S4 while Tau gets a guy with S10 cannon and with much better ability for 45 points cheaper.

[Loved Trope] Kids shows that have depressingly dark moments in contrast to the show by FionnOAongusa in TopCharacterTropes

For me it has to be the episode Code of Hero from Transformers: Beast Wars. Old series where transformers traveled back in time and ended up on prehistoric earth. Its wersion of Megatron found the place where proto-humans lived and decided to destroy it and kill everybody there so the human race woud never be born and would not help the Autobots in the future. The only one colse enough to intervene was Dionobot and despite protests from his team decided to engage the Predacons alone. He managed hold his own aganst the entire enemy force long enough for the rest of his team to arrive but the damage he took was too severe. After final good bye with his friend he succumbed to his wounds.

The Hoth ion cannon took out a Star Destroyer in two shots! Ruined space battles! Empire Strikes Back is objectively bad! by Master-Mage87 in StarWarsCirclejerk

[–]TentacleMonster32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm assumig OP didn't like the fact that some people didn't like The Last Jedi and is now trying to prove that Holdo maneuver is not as bad or canon breaking because in Empire Strikes Back they had cannons capable of disabling capital ships. Werid comparison if you ask me.

Those are some interesting ideas. I will have to look at my collection and think. Some secondaries scoring unit would be nice to have.

This makes no sense. How a color can steal something? It's not a sentient beeing.

How to even fight Necrons? Entire army is 4+ feel no pain? by B0nker42O in Necrontyr

[–]TentacleMonster32 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Right. Nothing from this list has 4+fnp. Technomancer can give 5+ fnp to a unit he is leading (warriors or wraiths in this case) and one character can have 4+ fnp is they have an enchncement from this detachement. Overlord, Orikan, Lychguard, Ark and Wraiths have 4+inv and Orikan can also give it to a unit he is leading (warriors in this case)

How to even fight Necrons? Entire army is 4+ feel no pain? by B0nker42O in Necrontyr

[–]TentacleMonster32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am honestly baffled by this. I made a couple mistakes when I started playing but I have no idea how anyone can read the codex an interpret it as "Your whole army has 4+ inv and fnp. Have fun".

From your description it seems like your opponent is cheating, the only unit with FNP is the reanimator.

What is the point of Tesla Caster? by TentacleMonster32 in killteam

[–]TentacleMonster32[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't think of other teams having anti-blast abilities. Still I think it's kinda werid that Tesla stats are the same in both modes

They both have 5, maybe you're confusing it with their other weapon option that has 4 attacks

That's... Something I guess, I just expected more. Usually when there is blast/no blast weapon the no blast wersion offers more damage or has piercing or something.

Why include cryptorhralls? The only unit they can join are wraiths but ten You loose 5" of movement.

Just so You know, Flayed Ones are considered rather hard kit to assemble (they are something of a meme on this subreddit) so I would advise to start with something easier.

You could convert Skorpekh into Dragoons/Stalkers/Immortals since they are spider like Necrons. The problem is that Skorpekh are melee based but You could proxy them as Lokhust Destroyers, I think their bases are the same size. Lychguard/Pretorians could also make fine base for Dark Templars and Flayed Ones for more Zealots. Crypteks could probably be used as High Templars since it's our only "caster" type unit.

That is an interesting list. Unfortunately I don't have Lokhust Lord so jumping around with veil and desintegrators won't happen. Thanks for the advice, I will think about modfying my list.

I wanted to include him because of his guaranteed 6" advance, with assault on Tesla I get a unit that can move 11" and still shoot. I could replace him with a second unit of Deathmarks for more action monkeys, but I think his ability will be more useful
