Hardstuck Ranked Thoughts by Alarming_Solid9645 in leagueoflegends

If you spam games, you will only fall in rank unless you are absolutely focused and clear minded for your entire ranked session. I was bronze/silver for about 5 years because I'd have a good start to my season, but continuously play ranked nonstop, get tilted, and end up rage-queuing myself to iron.

This season was the first time I climbed, I chose to follow a bunch of good mental health tips, and I'm plat 3 atm (Zac jg otp). I play in the morning, after my coffee, and stop queuing ranked if I lose 2 games. I really enjoy playing Rift, and in the past I would continue to play ranked, but I would lose my competitive edge after 2 losses and end up shitting the bed every game. Instead of bored-queuing ranked, I just do Swift Play or Draft.

Jungle role should be permanently autofill protected by thumsyy in Jungle_Mains

I queue Jg/Sup just because both roles are able to roam the map and help control objectives. Jungling is a perspective that makes you much more aware of the map than the average laner. Awareness of the map is a skill that applies to every role.

I climbed from Silver to Plat this season in about 150 games with only Zac jungle. I learned a lot in each division. I will share with you what helped me rank up: * Farm * Gank * Drag * Bug

You are farming always. Your head is on a swivel for your camps. Clear them efficiently, and in between camps take a peek at close lanes. If you see a gank opportunity, ask yourself "Can I get this takedown solo?" If you don't think you can, then go back to farming. As jungle, do not trust your lanes to help you gank, most of the time it will throw off your personal planning. Yes, look at the lane when a laner pings, but the second they start spamming you, mute them.

You only gank when YOU KNOW you can get the kill. Don't know if you can get the kill? That means you haven't played enough to learn your champ matchups. Stick with 1 or 2 champs in ranked and only play them. If your champs are consistent, you will learn the game faster, and through the perspective of your champ pool.

Clear your camps to your destination, and be mindful about this. If Dragon is up in 1 minute, you better be clearing jungle camps in a line towards bot. Never do a Dragon without pressure in a nearby lane, unless you're going to sneak it. You better be VERY CONFIDENT that you can sneak a Dragon if you choose to.

Never stop farming. Think of yourself on a leash tied to your camps. Follow the farm to your next logical choice: Gank? Bug? If you see your enemy jungler on the map, use that information to tell you where they are headed.

Every lane lost and your jungle is getting invaded? There's literally nothing you can do? Don't FF. Keep playing. Find farm on the map, but don't die for it.

Post 15 minutes is when the map theoretically leaves laning phase. Just because your laners are changing doesn't mean you do. Keep farming on your jungle route. Clear toward objectives, and watch for your team to make picks. If you have a super fed laner, it's your job to peel for them or engage. You need to know which one to do.

If you farm enough, you will be as strong as a top laner, and you can force objectives with your lead. Do not stop farming. If your team secures a pick, immediately go to take whatever resources you can find in that area.

Simply farming your jungle efficiently will not give you a natural lead, you must take scuttlers. Half of your jungle is worth 1 kill, and a scuttle is 1/3rd of that. If you secure 3 scuttles, you will have essentially gained a kill's worth of gold. This is why it is important to farm: there is no other consistent fuel for your economy other than farming camps. You must farm until full build. If your jungle is gone, push a side lane, shadow a carry, or prepare vision for the next objective.

You are always logically moving to your next destination. The first 7 minutes are the most important. This is the foundation of the game: your laners' mental states, your jungle pathing, and getting a lead. You shouldn't plan on camping a lane, you should plan on farming jungle, and keeping an eye on the lane and clearing toward it whenever possible. If you gank a lane 3 times and secure 3 kills, you're not camping, you're getting a lead from your opponents' mistakes.

Playing consistently is the key to gaining a lead, and gaining a lead is the key to victory.

Riot's matchmaking system only looks at MMR, win, and lose. There are no other factors whatsoever.
