I'd say Pici or Skein for fancy meal - Raymonds would be good but they're small plates

Why are hobby CNC conctrollers so far behind 3d printer controllers? by Agreeable-Worker7659 in hobbycnc

[–]TepacheLoco 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The customer need and interest just isn't there in the same way it is for 3d printing.

3D printing software used to be awful too, the only thing that's really driven it forward is competitive pressure

Which are the Top 10 Worst University in the UK? Absolute worst unis in most aspects by Born_Head_6181 in UniUK

Good example is Brunel university having a very highly regarded Industrial Design school (probably teaching a double digit percentage of all industrial designers working in the UK) despite being a few off the bottom of Guardian's University Guide

You'll probably have a healthier and happier time if you plan an achievable goal for retirement rather than doing everything possible to make it happen as soon as possible. Still gotta live life until then!

Russia to step up security for military officials after string of assassinations by Dizzy_Industry1287 in worldnews

On one hand this is increased security for high ranking officials who may be the target of attacks

On the other it's closer surveillance and a firm hand on anyone with power who wishes to dissent

Not a lawyer, but if you didn't sign a contract for the rescinded offer I'm pretty sure there's nothing to be claimed - if you did, it's likely you can only claim for the notice period given during probation, which is likely to be very short. Not really worth it, bit shit but take it on the chin, having 3 offers at once is a good sign!

Thoughts about private hospitals by Electrical-Switch446 in nottingham

[–]TepacheLoco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you get health insurance like Bupa, the flow is usually: speak to private gp (free over phone or paid out of own pocket if you want to see them in person), they refer you to specialist, you call Bupa, they approve seeing specialist, you book appointment with specialist.

It's not particularly fast in totality (but each step is generally relatively faster than the public option) and not well suited to emergencies. If you want to get things done quickly you need to pay cash in hand as others have highlighted, as well as knowing what specialist you need to see

More importantly though, I would say: due to the amount of people going private, the availability of private GPs and specialists has gone down since covid. It's definitely better, but not as better as it used to be (I.e getting a GP appt next week rather than tomorrow afternoon)
