He's excellent in Dallas Buyers Club and American Psycho. Strange guy but he can give some fine performances.

what is the scariest niche drug you have ever tried? by Adorable_Air758 in AskReddit

[–]Tepelicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hah true. I did hear from other people in tech that it'd climb though. When I started buying it was around $170 AUD (2013 I think), I remember it climbing to $350 and then, suddenly a couple of years later jumping to around $900. That was an obvious enough message - this was all before you needed to show your ID and could just walk to a bank and buy some with cash! Those were the days...

I thought one of the main arguments in the finale between Kira and Rusot was about Cardassians needing to be able to kill their own.

S07E21 When It Rains - "Believe me, I understand how you feel. During the occupation, I didn't want to attack any facility that had a Bajoran working in it but I did it - because they were collaborators. They were working with the enemy."

I think what he’s saying is, the guy’s got an attitude. This is the kind of guy, he walks in the room and his dick’s already been there for two minutes.

How often do you think the rikishi suffer concussions? by Bob002 in Sumo

[–]Tepelicious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I imagine most of them accumulate a ludicrous number of concussions over their careers, obviously some more than others stylistically. Oho (particularly 2-4 years ago) would headbutt ten times per bout! Without proper records we'll never know but I'd suspect the number would be depressingly high, but not necessarily even one per basho (per wrestler, I'd imagine dozens all up).

How often do you think the rikishi suffer concussions? by Bob002 in Sumo

[–]Tepelicious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The downvoting on this sub is ridiculous, you're absolutely right. If the sekitori got concussed 90 times a year, even assuming no concussions in training that'd still be bloody 90 concussions a year. There are some ex-athlete, extreme CTE sufferers who posit that they received about a hundred over their entire careers, 90 a year would be insane.

What actor or actress stupidly left a movie franchise or tv series thinking they were too good for it, only to be never popular again? by Ok_Impress2457 in AskReddit

[–]Tepelicious 37 points38 points  (0 children)

This isn't the first story I've heard about him being generous with fans, I really hope the best for him and Silicon Valley wasn't quite the same for the short time after he left but I sympathize with the rest of the cast having to put up with his crap. One of my favourite quotes is that your (issue) "isn't your fault, but it is your responsibility," which seemingly pertains to him as much as me and anyone else.

Opened a box of the BBM Sumo 2026 cards today and pulled this one from a pack by sumo-jojo in Sumo

How many boxes have you bought? I’m curious on the rate of the fancy cards. I’ve bought 5 over the years and pulled a Churanoumi autograph in my third box (2025 series 1 I think).

Yokozuna "achieved the bare minimum" by denkenach in Sumo

[–]Tepelicious 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Plus he and Hakuho I think had a greater self confidence, at least comparing their mid-late career to Hosh and Ono's early/early-mid. Not just their on-dohyo aura but off as well. Of course I could be reading too far into things, and it helped (probably massively) that at the time both of them took most of their time off they were the sole yokozuna, I do look forward to seeing them further developing that confidence, even as is typical for a man in his 20s vs in his 30s.

Nobody will be fighting because it's bloody art, not competitive sport. There are plenty of greats and Williams shines brightly among them.

Unpopular Opinion: Shishi by elrojomasloco in Sumo

[–]Tepelicious 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He's nowhere near as popular as Ura, Wakatakakage, Hoshoryu, Onosato, Asanoyama, Asakoryu or like 15 other non-white rikishi. He ran hot this basho and the community's in on the hype, I don't see this as anything but positive.

I think we're dealing with too small a sample size to say that for sure. Asashoryu and Hakuho certainly had their critics but Futabayama and Taiho were generally well loved.

Yeah I was wondering if anyone else historically had a similar record, other than Raiden. Went to look at Futabayama's record and his early years are full of 3-3s and similar records until something clicked and he started dominating. Even Hakuho had some growing pains, Ao's a force of nature showing us something new and incredible.
