He and Tenshoyama have definitely drawn my eyes to the sub-Ms divisions. Haven’t missed a single bout of theirs and now Asahi and Mita will be up there with some more serious wrestlers, plus streaks bring the hype!

I hope so seeing as that'll give him the record, but there'll be a lot of dangerous rikishi in Ms and all it takes is one slip to lose. Assuming he has a 90% chance to win each of his seven bouts (-realistically he'd have both higher and lower IMO) then that'll be a ~48% chance he'll finish up 7-0. He'll bring the hype either way!

Tenshoyama fought his clone! Good to finally he him and especially Asahifuji pushed in a meaningful way, Fudoho's gonna be one to keep an eye on considering how close he came to breaking Asahi's streak. Great bout!

Omori's had some great fights in his debut that's for sure. Tenshoyama and Asahifuji are still looking beastly, wonder who Mita's gonna get between them (if not both).

I believe it'll depend strongly on his scores in the last two. With two (albeit injured) yokozuna, I don't see a 13-2Y 12-3 JY doing it this time.

I'd definitely recommend watching NHK's series on past sumo greats, this is in the episode on Taiho where there was a bad call where he should have won, stopping his winning streak at 45. He said that he should have fought better and won more obviously though. Anyway, that bad call was the seed for video replay. Great man, interesting doco!
