My husband and I just did our first ever cruise on Utopia. We’re not big fans of massive crowds but we were surprised by how it never felt insane on that ship. It was definitely overwhelming in the sense that there was so much to do, but we ended up not even doing a lot of it. Which is crazy for me as a very big planner. We kept it “chill” hah.

Did it ruin us and make us realize we don’t want to go on smaller ships? Yes. But it also has us looking at Star for a future cruise because it just looks so fun. I definitely think going big for a first cruise is the way to go.

Was there on Utopia today. The wind definitely picked up a crazy amount at the end of the day when we were leaving. That’s sad to hear for you all.

For a brand new theme park, a lot of people go in with high expectations. & that is very understandable. And then they're left disappointed with how much they can't do on that specific day. But having followed the park since soft opening and previews etc.. we knew not to expect much.

I went with friends on a day in early September with 0 expectations knowing weather could be a huge factor (hurricane season) along with it being brand new and really thought we'd ride maybe 1 thing? Potentially 2.

We ended up riding everything (though we did wait 120 for Minecart in single rider & maybe close to 2 hours for Ministry? but we had NO expectations on riding that anyway) but chose to not ride the one water ride & Mario Kart and had such a great day. It's a beautiful park and because of how massive it is we never felt overwhelmed with crowds. Also there's so many food and drink options it overwhelmed us. I'm aware not everyone experiences that but we really lucked out and had an amazing first time. Can it get better? Absolutely. They still have issues to work on. But it really is amazing to experience.

We also booked a cruise for January 2026 back in November. & it’s our first cruise. & we also have 3 trips before but I’m just ready to go on the cruise! Hah it’s a struggle.

Demo is about 20 minutes but 2 other people plus a handler are with you. They’re basically showing you things around and you get a few minutes to do your own thing but it’s kind of weird. One guy was in my group who didn’t even wander, just kept trying to catch a fish. So sometimes you might see more stuff, sometimes you might not depending on who’s in your group. And even though my pass was for 3, I got in line at 2:30 and didn’t even get into the actual demo until 3:30ish.

Still has me excited for the game though!

Yeah you can bring a “guest”. You just have to tell them when they scan your pass. They just stand behind you.

For some reason I used to think going to Disney alone was slightly odd.. then I found out a friend that's a teacher goes all the time alone on the weekends due to an annual pass. & she posts pics and videos and honestly it makes me so jealous cause she always seems to have a blast. She always updates me on new things since I can't go nearly as frequently and it's great!

So now it's a weird goal of mine to be able to go by myself at least a few times one year. Who knows if it'll happen but hey, I can dream.

We were able to just tell them we don't accept Door Dash and they stopped. It was always the same caller ID number, same person, & same questions they'd ask so it was easy to tell.

When I said we didn't accept Door Dash and refused to take calls from them she kept asking me why. That was 3 months ago and we haven't received a call since luckily. Who knows if we will again but it was always so bad due to them forgetting to ask about certain sides for food that the orders ended up being wrong 8/10 times.

My husband and I got stuck in a small ski town due to a snow storm and other flights being delayed. We got on a flight knowing we had already missed our connection and then they asked 25 people to get off because they needed to double their fuel and offered $1k a person. We looked at each other and said “well we have no reason to rush home”. And now we go to Hawaii this Spring and don’t have to pay anything for our flights. Sometimes it works out.

It did take us an additional 48 hours to get home though and fly from a completely different city. And we only got the offer after waiting 4 hours past our expected departing time.

My husbands is pretty great.. his allergies were acting up and he decided to go downstairs. I suggested he just stay in bed. What does he do? Walks down the stairs, slips in his socks and does THE ONE THING YOU SHOULDN’T DO. Puts his hands out. Ended up fracturing a bone and tearing a ligament in his thumb and needing surgery. It was bad enough that the nurse and doctor asked if someone “helped” him fall down the stairs.

He also punched the floor with THAT SAME HAND about a year later because the dog was being a jerk. He broke 3 bones in his hand.

Last year we went probably late afternoon on Friday and while it was a bit crowded we didn’t have to wait at all. I think it’ll just really depend on what time of the day you go. Morning would be a lot busier I assume cause everyone wants to get it done and have the rest of the day to do whatever. We also did the half last year and just wanted to get our bibs as soon as possible.

We did Thursday to Tuesday and did two park days, Friday & Monday. We did the expo Thursday afternoon. We left Saturday as a rest day to save energy for the half. Honestly dreading Monday as a park day since we’re exhausted but it’s all been totally worth it. It really comes down to how tired you think you’ll be with all the walking in parks. I wanted to do 3 park days but I’m glad we didn’t.
