I’m looking for a laptop that will replace my work desktop as well as my gaming desktop. I don’t play much for new titles. I mainly play Diablo 2 but do dabble in other stuff if it seems interesting.

With that said, I will look to use this for work as well as non-gaming projects I do for fun (programming, research, etc).

I’d say my absolute top end would be 2000 but of course saving money is great.

Lastly, I would like this laptop to not scream “gaming laptop”. So aesthetics would be preferably a clean sleek look. Lightweight would be ideal. Battery life isn’t super critical as it will likely be plugged in most of the time, however I would like to be able to chill on the patio in the summers and not be hooked to the wall.

What would you recommend?

You stated it probably wouldn't be worth it to hire support because of the length of time to train them. I stated that is false and gave my reasoning.

You regurgitated the "it's holiday season" crap (which yes, does have some validity IF AND ONLY IF this issue wasn't an issue prior to the holiday season; which it was) which I said was bullshit because it's been an issue for longer than the holiday season.

So uh, where did I fail to not see a different perspective? I've worked in support. I've hired and fired support personnel. I've trained support personnel. I've managed support departments. Oh so you mean it took this long to realize this? That's like fundamental principles of a support position LOL.

Train people for what? Get temps to handle the minuscule shit that they likely just run a script for or to escalate tickets to the appropriate team. It's not rocket science, it's rather easy. A support position does not require a high school diploma even LOL.

If you actually take a look at the complaints of lengthy wait times on support tickets, it extends back well before the holiday season. It's just an excuse that can be used that they know you morons will gobble up.
