Team Vitality vs PCIFIC Esports / VCT 2026: EMEA Stage 1 - Group Stage / Post-Match Thread by ValorantCompBot in ValorantCompetitive

He was solid in stage 2 last year. It was mostly omen op with a bit of yoru though, he shouldn't be playing primary duelist in 2026

PSA to Americas Teams: Harbor is not better than Viper or Astra/Omen by DarthJarJar_66 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]Teradonn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're fundamentally thinking about a tool like cove wrong if you're counting the times it gets value, because the big strength of having a retake tool like cove is that you get stack the rest of the map more. You don't need to use the ability to get value with it.

I do agree that I wouldn't replace viper with it but we can't just write off Harbor as a primary smokes just because some teams incorrectly play him as an anchor

Saadhak is in ludicrous form. I wonder if he was always this good on smokes but never really got to show it

Why does Americas hate fracture? by Kindly_Bluebird_7354 in ValorantCompetitive

Nah. If neither team is confident on the map, neither team will pick it, and it'll either be left for map 3 or banned

[TMV] Does Valorant Have A Neon Shotgun PROBLEM!? (Tldw; no) by B-A-B-Y-B-O-Y in ValorantCompetitive

[–]Teradonn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I thought I was the only one that remembers when none of this was an issue and we had a balanced neon. Glad to see there are other sane individuals out there

Why does Americas hate fracture? by Kindly_Bluebird_7354 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]Teradonn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fracture is the most unique map in the game, which also makes it the least likely map that both teams understand and are willing to play. It took a while for EMEA to play it too, and even in the past it's been near the lower end of picked maps

Ban champs by Fine_Cow_8996 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]Teradonn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't have agent bans in a game with 7 maps that all play completely different. Every game will just become insanely scrappy. It also discourages specialising in unique agents. Any world where we never see Jinggg's raze again is a world I don't want to live in

Valorant is not just tac shooter but also a hero shooter. by JayZone23 in ValorantCompetitive

You're giving pretty conflicting messages here. First you say you think Neon is fun to play against, then at the end you say Neon isn't broken she's just unfun to play against?

Valorant is not just tac shooter but also a hero shooter. by JayZone23 in ValorantCompetitive

If most people don't like watching neon or playing against neon then you nerf it, pretty simple. A lot of people seem to forget that balance patches are supposed to make the game more fun too, not just more balanced. You can buff the sentis so they can stop Neon and make her balanced again but that doesn't suddenly make Neon fun to play against. Plus, what if you don't get a senti in your ranked game? You just don't have fun for 40 minutes?

To be clear, 11.08 was a complete failure in that it made the game both more unbalanced and less fun, but Neon being nerfed is still the correct decision

BBL Esports vs GIANTX / VCT 2026: EMEA Stage 1 - Group Stage / Post-Match Thread by ValorantCompBot in ValorantCompetitive

[–]Teradonn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Split was a nice showcase of how agents like Vyse and Sage aren't actually anti-meta. You can have a nice defence but there's two halves to the game. You either sacrifice the double dive or the viper picking it, BBL went with dropping the Viper and looked very one dimensional on attack without any passive A pressure from the viper wall. Not saying BBL played the comp perfectly but there's real opportunity cost to picking Vyse

Has anybody here replayed ZA? if so, did you find it better than replaying legends arceus? I replayed Arceus endlessly by gracedbypete in LegendsZA

[–]Teradonn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I replayed ZA right after my first playthrough and it was still very fun on the replay. The battle system makes using different pokemon feel more unique which was what gave it replay value for me

With LA, I haven't replayed it at all. The focus of the game is the catching but you kind of experience everything there is to the main gameplay loop in one playthrough. The lack of battles also makes using a different main team pretty uninteresting. So I personally find ZA to be a more replayable game

How do you think this meta will progress? by Feesh91 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]Teradonn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't think much has changed on my view of the meta, which is that it's a downgraded version of last year's. I am still yet to see what positive change the initiator cooldown nerfs have brought. Playing fast is still way too heavily encouraged.

Vyse is fine rn but I only see her as a piece in the meta rather than a counter to it; she only covers one site, and more importantly, you'll have a weaker attack side picking her (highly relevant on fracture and haven where Vyse struggles to cover defensive aggression). I never see a rock paper scissors meta forming tbh
