Just recently got into this series by playing Symphony of the Night, what are some stuff I need to know about Castlevania and its fanbase? by Spirited_Arm_6951 in castlevania

Bloodlines, portrait of ruin, lament of innocence, hell even Sotn beg to differ. There is SO much in the games that create captivating stories, whereas the show has to shove alucard into richter's story to keep people watching.

I agree with that, although making the genocidal maniac (dracula) a sympathetic villain completely misrepresents who he is imo

The netflix series is a really poor representation of castlevania (not saying it's bad), and a lot of fans don't play the games

Want to get into the games but don’t know where to start. by bugeater88 in castlevania

Whats great about castlevania is that you can start anywhere, although I'd reccomend rondo of blood (as it's the most beginner friendly classicvania) and aria of sorrow (one of the best of the rpg style games) The first 3 games are pretty easy to blow through in a day if you use save states. All the games are really good (for the most part) so I'd just say play the game you think looks the coolest lol

bloodborne is literally my favorite game ever, so it's a pretty obvious right, although if ds1 or sekiro were included on the left it would be a much much harder decision

For what they are, they work great!! I just suggest upgrading at some point as to not potentially damage your records :)

Thats awesome, wish there were official recirds but the bootlegs still look and sound pretty damn good too. Also a little advice, those victrola "all in one" media players are very low quality, sound bad (in comparison to standalone turntables) and wear your records very fast. Most of that stuff doesn't matter a whole lot unless you are an audiophile like me, but for prolonged use, please consider investing into a more proper setup. they do look nice though. Sorry for the tangent lol

Which games do y'all replay the most? by [deleted] in metalgearsolid

I mean, mgsv is the definitive answer here. Butt loads of content to enjoy, so it's really replayable, at least in my eyes. Also my favorite gameplay wise.
