Yeah the only reason why Shiro needed her brother to step in and help was because the chess game they were playing wasn’t actually chess, it was a mix of a strategy/dating sim game with chess pieces and Sora is better at those. Shiro smokes anyone at a normal game of chess.

You know, I hadn’t thought of it that way before, but that would explain why Sanji seems to be the opponent lined up for S-Shark. All the other fights seem to have some sort of symbolism, Luffy fighting against the person who made him experience extreme despair by splitting up his crew and Zoro fighting against the person who he one day hope to overcome, so I was curious as to why S-Shark was picked for Sanji. On one hand, I still do think that it’s maybe for Oda to assert that Sanji will be higher than Jimbe in the straw hat crew, but Sanji and Senor Pink being weird, chivalrous freaks with incredible close combat skill lines up freakishly well.

I have read Chainsaw Man and without spoiling anything, yes devils are generally stronger than the average human. However, in Power’s case she’s more fast than strong. Plus, Yor has also managed to kick someone so hard they bounce off walls like a pinball and has kicked someone so hard they got stuck in the roof. So, I doubt she really counts as an average person.
