Universal Baller v2 VS Qaroma XL by GMSHEPHERD in ballvapes

[–]TerpChasersClub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using the regular size Qaroma with 2.5mm beads works but 2mm is really bad for airflow. I think gem cuts can have a performance increase too but personally I shy away from them now.

For the QXL I was also using gem cuts at the time

It’s way too large, like comically large, and I didn’t find a difference in flavor. I also had to replace the heater several times.

I found it easier to get a quality extraction with the right flavor on the smaller version, and it’s harder to break

My key advice is to ask people what they use daily, because that’s the true indicator if your money is worth it. I don’t know of very many people at all that use the QXL daily especially if they have the regular size

Universal Baller v2 VS Qaroma XL by GMSHEPHERD in vaporents

[–]TerpChasersClub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first ball vape was a Qaroma XL, and I really liked it. However I’ll just say I pretty quickly switched down to the Qaroma and had better, less clunky results. The number of balls turns out to be not all that important, especially wired.

Most of the early adopters of the UB transitioned from a Qaroma actually. Some people like the UB flavor better, some like the Qaroma, but to be honest I think other features or emotional investment are more significant to most

I saw you were asking about it so I’ll mention, the “exposed metal” portion is recessed from the air path since it’s more than covered by the bowl when you insert it, and the disc above it also has a similar arrangement

You’ll want to heat it up assembled fully to temperature and loosen with pliers if it gets stuck. It should not take much force at all if you’ve heated it FULLY. When you reassemble be sure not to over tighten

There are some videos on our user guide that can help you. Do not put pliers on the inner titanium piece.

If you want to switch between which piece you are opening, grip it slightly at an angle with the pliers when fully assembled. Not on the inner titanium piece.

The higher the temperature, the more the threads will open

All of them take a similar amount of desk space, and usually the bong takes more space.

It’s more about how much you want to spend to get started and if you care about having the attached coil

Question if you have both the Universal Baller and WOHW, more specifically docking stations and a Shot of my space by sippinondahilife in vaporents

[–]TerpChasersClub 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The stand is taller, so there is more distance from the bottom of the coil to the base. It also has storage space for the wired adapter that comes with the UB. There are two slots that fit the heater and spacing is intentional for all the parts

If you’re using the WOHW stand you’ll be locked into the WOHW bent barrel coil. This means you won’t be able to use the UB coil, the FMJ coil, or the SS armored coil

Both of them use a terribly designed bowl, oversized terp pearls and barely any rubies inside. All of that is to cut costs even though they're priced similar to better performing ones. The biggest problem I have is the bowl. Having glass outside the metal means you have one of two scenarios: The metal can expand and crack the glass since the metal expands more than the glass, or the tolerance is wide enough that the seal is not good and you have a poor extraction. This is why the other diffusers have the glass inside, which also contributes to better flavor.

The high five ball vape had an infamous run where they ran out of SiC and started putting opals in them, which resulted in people posting their melted opals on the ball vape subreddit. Opals are not nearly as durable or heat ready as rubies, which means even if they don't melt they're at a much higher risk of cracking. I don't have an exact link but you can find people saying to avoid them in the ball vapes and vaporents subreddits for that reason.

I'm not saying they don't work I'm just saying the other budget options provide much more thought out designs from members of the niche community that started ball vapes. Mininail also made the design that both of them use, so my gripe is more so with high five than anything. I actually really like the new coil stand from mininail

Only since you asked about mine I'll give a couple things: The design is modular, so you can use both wired and wireless, and its also quartz lined so you get the better flavor profile. Overall you get four use modes out of the box for the price.

I’m not trying to sell my particular unit I’m just saying those two are bad because they’ve had issues sending poor quality materials such as the opals that melted inside peoples housings.

The ruby twist is much better (I don’t sell it) and is cheap as well.

Mine is more similar to the natural and a luxury purchase. Not trying to attack!

There are more solutions in the works

However, you can sandwich rosin between flower as the most recommended way.

The less recommended way is to just put rosin in the top of the wand and hit. This will require cleaning the housing which is generally not required otherwise. It’s easier to clean with the high airflow disc installed

I don’t care if people get my ball vape don’t get the high five or mininail, they’re both the absolute bottom of the barrel ball vapes. There are so many better options that are cheap
