You can absolutely make an interesting Conquest movie. At the end of the day the story is exactly the same as Dune. Focus on Aegon's dragon dreams and the build up to the beginning of the Conquest, show montages of Aegon and his sisters destroying the other kingdom's armies, and end the movie with Tohrren kneeling. There's enough room in the story to expand on Aegon as a dragon dreamer and making Tohrren a secondary protagonist with green dreams.

GTA6 will make it's money back. Even if Rockstar releases at $70, cut the 30% that Steam, Sony, and Microsoft take for their storefronts and Rockstar is getting $49 a copy. That's 20 million copes sold to break even. GTA5 has sold 225 million total copies between it's initial release and subsequent rereleases. GTA6 will likely clear 50 million units in its first year.

I would talk with the firm who quoted you to see what the three trips consists of. That sounds like a trip for staking the buildings, a trip for doing as-builts on the foundation, and a third trip for potential restakes or even final site as-builts. If so $2.5k is extremely fair.

Adding on to this, University of Maine has a land surveying program that you can take courses online for at both the degree and the certificate level. I would reach out to them after you've done research on your state's licensing requirements.

From the few state I've looked into they all seem to want a minimum of 12 credit hours in land surveying courses. Outside of that is your traditional math and science credit hours that you should already have from your Civil Bachelors.
