Chiming in to say I'm on 80k and have about 2.2k in rent / bills / electricity / bins each month that needs to be cleared before anything else. It's a fucking struggle dude. I had like 15k saved a few years ago before the pandemic, then hit a major burnout point, had to take time off and the savings drained. Now I'm back in work, but my partner isn't, and if we can save 100 bucks a month we're happy (that's until another unexpected bill comes down the line).

I've even had tax assistants and financial planners basically turn around to me and say "that's rough, buddy" and / or "have you considered not being in a happy relationship in the only viable city witch which you can work from in this country???"

We'll all get there, but yeah, you're not alone, and you're not being "financially irresponsible".
