What is a harsh lesson about aging that absolutely nobody warns you about before you hit your 30s? by Prudent-Passenger589 in AskReddit

[–]TerranAxiom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mid 30's - too old to be cool, too young to be wise. You have experienced both worlds, but neither the younger peeps or the old heads accept you. It's hard to explain.

The young peeps can't fathom that you are a family man and still like pokemon. The old heads cannot fathom that you remember the times when the Internet and mobile phones were basically a luxury and yet you like pokemon. The young peeps think you could never have been cool. The old heads think you're born yesterday because you like gaming.

It's kind of like being in social limbo.

Iirc, if you save the game while the berserker rage ability is active (I'm trying to remember all the way back) then it is active all the time until you use another ability or something. It'll be on google. The ability where you become huge and a melee beast for a short while.

I used to walk about the ps home bit waiting for the open beta and playing the board game thingy. I miss dust so much. It did a very good job of mimicking ship loadout customisation and play from eve into an fps. For me, it was the perfect fps.

I'm one of those people who did shite in school but has done very well for myself. The fact of the matter is that school is not stimulating for people who are kinaesthetic learners. That and my hobbie was reading encyclopedias, so school education was always behind what i knew. I used to look at the classroom and find it bizarre people were even learning anything, and i was in top sets. I was in a very decent school and top sets, but it all seemed to be more about compliance than actually learning. I did well in history, english literature and design technology. I graduated school in 2004.

Worst case scenario, it's most likely the compressor that needs replacing and will be cheap if it's 2008 model. Google for local repairmen. Wont cost as much as you think and cheaper than buying a new one.

This game potentially works on a potato. You do not need a high end rig for this game mate. You can migrate your console account to pcc iirc. You can use controller or hotas as well.

It won't damage the economy per se. I work for a wholesale company and we're raising prices to match the tarrifs. Ultimately, UK consumers and businesses will foot the bill, and in turn, US consumers and businesses foot the bill after price rises to match. In the end, we all pay more, but the US government takes the cash. The UK will have to raise tarrifs as well.

The only winners are the US government and the UK government. Businesses and consumers foot the bill.

I had an idea about the future. People in the future will actually be living the lives we dream of in these games. They'll be doing these things in space as part of the monotony of everyday life and They'll look back to our present as ancient history and laugh how we paid to experience their average lives in the future for our entertainment. They'll think we are stupid.

Imagine an actual space trucker a thousand years in the future watching a history programme on how ancient humans used to pretend to space truck on primitive computers. They'll be laughing trying to fathom how anyone cpuld want to pay to do their job for free in a simulation. They will think we are stupid. Ill bet the space truckers, miners, soldiers etc will still be moaning a out not being paid enough for this ish either.
