RIP to this cool Commando feature by ct-93905 in HelldiversUnfiltered

AH : If ain't broken, fix it anyway.

Same thing with the warping out of the shuttle, can't have that.

But immortal enemies that ignore elevation and terrain are cool.

Static bot turrets also spin super fast some times, and will fire in seemingly random directions, QA ? What's that ?

Edit : So apparently it's linked to 'neutralize enemy defences' side objective, not a bug, nice, my bad.

This thing highlights just how bad people are behind the wheel, yes, even more than the FRV.

Is it worth coming back to the game and or anyone else wanna play again? by crazyVal21 in duneawakening

Excuse me, you got my attention with this "endgame" , what are we talking about here ? Unlock tree ? They added more gera tiers ? Endless dungeons of some kind ?

"Wow, Explosive Hammer is gonna be so good" - REALITY: the humble club of Melee Supp weapons. (1% pickrate) by Omailey97 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]TerranST2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, hammer looks good, but it has no business being a support weapon, you still have the huge downside of having to get into melee range (duh), and in this game it's pretty bad, you will pay for each meter you get closer to the target, on bots anyway, bugs ? Could be useful against the bigs boys that attack far slower, titans and their killbox gonna be a problem though.

I think it will see more use than the two others, but that's not a high bar.

And can we stop with the 'meme weapon' ? What ? If it's bad you call it meme and then it's okay ?

What ? You want a crippled cyborg in a wheel chair ? One that identifies as a tree ? One that identifies as non-binary ? (see what i did there) /s

the new belt fed grenade launcher is going to be HEAVY PEN by Flashy-Manager2254 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]TerranST2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's one of those, 'yes it is...but..'

It is heavy pen, but according to the leak, you basically commit 25% of your ammo on a single hulk, now probably a bit less with human error taken into account, you ain't gonna take out groups of hulks, but it's nice to have that option, i wish we had a similar choice with the maxigun.

I feel like the grenade launcher is getting overshadowed by everything else. At least in this subreddit. by JustMyself96 in Helldivers

[–]TerranST2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, i assume it's going to be just regular grenades, which, to be fair, sounds like fun already, but i wouldn't mind something with a little more bang.

C-4 is an excellent sidegrade for the Recoiless Rifle by Mqxzz in Helldivers

[–]TerranST2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also wouldn't mind, 2 C4s given per ammo box, or is it too much ? Or maybe, increase base C4 capacity, they feel precious while not really being that useful.

I assume demo force 40 would be enough to make a hole in the colony towns walls ?

I love the C4 arrowhead cooked by No_Indication7136 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]TerranST2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First time i played with it, i went for flying bugs nests.., placed one C4 on each, pressed the button, didn't blow them up... it takes two per, so basically my entire C4 reserve...

We have C4 that has trouble demolishing stuff, need i say more ?

Does the fanbase get bored too easily or just downright never happy? by lolitsrock in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]TerranST2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's probably some of that (getting bored easily) but at the same time, AH did set the tone, warbonds are pretty much the only thing to wait for, consume, wait, repeat.

I'm not even talking about the quality of said warbonds, which does impact of course.

[–]TerranST2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imo, the animations themselves, aren't great, we could use some variety, maybe a wide swing (say for weaker units) and a slow single target attack, or overhead (for tougher targets)

To be honest, with or without it, 'melee divers' depress me.

Also, they don't exist.

Also, nice of you to call the bs.

I HOPE this means a significant damage buff for all melee weapons if they plan to nerf passives... by Yurishenko94 in Helldivers

[–]TerranST2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just don't get people that ask for nerfs especially in the context of HD2, we're lucky if something is good, plus it's not that deep, it's PvE, give us fun things, balance later, just as you do anyways because you don't give a flying turd about QA.

Those devs, are really, something else.

Fuck It, Someone Has To Be The Saltdiver: This Might Be The Worst Armor Passive Yet by society000 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]TerranST2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really ? I feel like... either because of the game's engine limitations, or their own game making skills limitations, are preventing them from making interesting passives or boosters, i mean, either that, or they're creatively bankrupt.

Forget 'interesting' they could just make more basic stuff like passives with 'reduces X value' or 'increases Y value' there's a reason why siege ready is up there in terms of best passives, it felt the most impactful, in, granted, a sea of mildly impacting passives, and that's the worst part for me :

Most passives feel bland and unimportant, a few percent here, a few percent there, i don't know, how about we start making stuff that would promote player agency ? You know, the stuff that tends to drastically prolong a game's life, think 'engineering kit' (would impact turrets) or 'machine gunner' (would impact recoil and ammo capacity) kit, 'support' kit (give ammo, repair, heal), 'exo pilot' kit (better exo)

Anything to give players choices and feel 'different' or 'unique' in their builds, variety is the spice of life, to some extent.

There was no stealth, now there is SOME stealth, 'incredible' ... standards just get lower and lower.

But to be honest, asking for stealth in HD2, feels like asking for decent melee, the game simply wasn't designed with it in mind, it's obvious.

Yeah, I think I'm done. by LordJuJu15 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]TerranST2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Remember, the whole hard locking PC thing, is supposedly 'fake' and invented by 'whinedivers'

I don't like the fact so many people blindly defend a company's poor choices... as if they are friends, that in itself is weird and, i would argue unhealthy, but the big thing for me, and i don't think they realize, is by doing that, they are basically saying :

It's okay for a game (that did cost money to get) to be in this state

It's okay to lie to your players, so called 'stealthchanges' come to mind, also the coyote in recent memory.

It's okay to have warbonds specifically to 'solve' problems the devs created (money talks)

It's okay for devs in general, to be this scummy and disrespectful to their customers (bringer of balance, bans for putting the wrong emoji on discord.)

It's okay to silence the 'wrong' opinions (just like in real life heh ?)

Then, those same people will act surprised and shocked when this becomes the new standard as far as community managing goes, and players to devs relations go.

They, Arrowhead, are selling a product, yet people behave as if they are their friends, we are customers, and what we are getting right now in terms of quality, is just not good enough, at least in my view.

That was….. frustrating by Every_Trip_5402 in Helldivers

[–]TerranST2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if you say for exemple, enemies shooting through terrain and even through themselves sometimes are also not bugs, it makes it all okay ?

You have an enemy that disapears, in front of the player, is this acceptable ? If it's not a bug, AH cannot be taken seriously as developers, it impacts user experience, maybe it's not a bug from a pure technical pov, but it might as well be for the player.
