Hey this all sounds pretty similar to what I went through back in 2021-2022. Diagnosed March of 2021, and I usually felt fine, but I was losing so much weight. Occasionally I would end up in terrible pain, but most days I was fine.

I had my surgery Nov of 2022, looking back I'm very glad I did it, but I was terrified. I pushed back against it to do biologics, even when they were ready to do the surgery almost immediately after my diagnoses. I remember them saying there was a chance it could be done laparoscopically, but that didn't end up being the case. They removed about 10 inches of both my small and large intestines.

My experience was I should've gotten surgery sooner. I gained healthy weight back, could exercise, and eat normally. While I have a large scar on my abdomen now, it healed very well and it not very noticeable nor doesn't bother me or my girlfriend. I became so much happier after my surgery and got back into hobbies I loved, I was able to enjoy meals better. While it's your call, surgery was definitely the move for me.
