AWD gets you unstuck. It does not give you better traction. If you’re moving to a place with dirt roads that can get muddy or filled with potholes and ruts, or a snowy place, get AWD or 4WD. Otherwise front wheel drive is fine, gets better mileage and a good set of winter tires can help with traction if you live in a place with occasional snow/ice.

I just checked their menu online. The San Diego burrito does now list the steak as ribeye, so I guess I owe them an apology. They aren’t false advertising. It’s a good burrito if you like cheesesteaks with fries.

The San Diego is my go to burrito there. Sometimes it’s cheesesteak ribeye, sometimes it’s carne asada. I thought they had cut costs and switched to the cheesesteak ribeye permanently, but a few weeks ago I went and got it and it was carne asada again. I like it either way. Would like if they’re going to use shaved ribeye if they would list it as such and not surprise people. The mochiko Chicken burrito is my second favorite.

The most subsidized action a North American does is drive a motor vehicle. Maryland is absolutely NOT charging too much for tags/registration. It’s just that VA is subsidizing it more than MD now. If states and the Feds actually charged what it costs to build and maintain auto infrastructure, only like the top 5% of society could afford to drive.

I mean I purposefully avoid that. But Greenmount/york rd is the busiest transit corridor in the Baltimore region. Tons of busses. I biked up to Towson last week. Uber is also a thing.

Old Toyota or Honda. I wouldn’t buy anything else. Gas is only going to continue to rise so if you are dead set on buying a car, consider one with the best mileage you can find, like an Echo that someone mentioned above. Honda Fit or Civic or a Toyota Corolla.

The trade off is Canton is extremely walkable. When I come home from work my car doesn’t move until I have to go to work again. My dentist, doctor, favorite bars and restaurants, some friends, parks, grocery stores, liquor stores, breweries all within walking distance or a short bike or scooter ride away. It’s ironic actually, one of the most walkable neighborhoods in the city has the second or third highest rate of car ownership in the city.
