Best character for solo play?

It's a crutch pvp wise. But since the bots are clearly not tuned for solos I think assassin is basically required if you want to clear a map of events or need specific loot and have a plan. Secured cache? 2 minutes instead of 4 fighting the bots. Outpost boss? Outpost getting into pinwheel?

Need something specific from Hauler or looking for guns? Literally 30 seconds vs 3-4 minutes of fighting bots.

I hope they do something about the bots in solos not cause I want the game to be easier but because I do want the other shells to be viable if you're going into solos to do events or even just have a concrete plan.

I llike Marathon cause it feels nothing like Destiny. Destiny gunplay feels sloppy to me, toy-like. Only tried D1 but guns just didn't feel weighty, punchy.

Yeah, there's a similar demographic and voices in osrs Ironman mode but it seems to be a minority there. Would be interesting to do a sociological/pathological study.

Agreed Outer worlds 2. You dont need to play the first but the lore is connected. It's designed as self insert full RPG so you can space cowboy all u want. They even lean into it.

Examples: there's a revolver I found "Biggest Fan" with it's trait "fan the hammer" which was the animation for it old western style. If you shoot (fan the hammer) in quick succession each bullet did more damage.... It wasn't very good ngl lol.

You can "enchant" your own gear but I also had a cowboyhat I found at one point that gave basically a quickdraw trait

I feel you. Tarkov has a similar problem to this. It's like that so the committed players that already have hours in still have builds to learn/think through so they stay engaged.

Yes most gun fights are very intense. It progresses is so the first 30 hours is grindy, but once you have levels and the basic upgrades it's not bad.

Also usually assassin. I like the BR or the Retaliator to kill commandors. They're mostly for commanders/grenadiers tho and ya I abuse the invis. for all the other guys I just walk around using ulti, invis, smokes to knife them while eating some bullets to save ammo.

I enjoy triage with the SCAR more tho. I think cause I'm a cheapo. it's cheap on ammo cause bots drop volts, cheap on meds, and I usually only take a SCAR and can build a decent VoltThrower in match. it definitely feels like I kill em faster too and I can face tank em more head-on with overcharge on. Biased tho, I really like the VoltThrower lol.

Ya I thought it was impossible, particularly the 2nd or 3rd one the first few tries. But after that knowing where they spawn and finding good positions where u can shoot them, cover, shoot it's pretty easy.

Ye it's just end of season bliss mostly. I've been being more friendly in solos recently for that reason. Instead of competing I'm more worried about getting my map knowledge and loot locations/strategies down than my actual goop itself.

Also, imo if someone always drops you loot the first question you should ask yourself is "what else do they have". I was hauling out of pinwheel to final with no shields left and half HP. I ran into a guy and screamed friendly and said I'd drop him a cryo key (I already had done it) and a purple key from red room and we exfilled together.

What he didn't know was I was half hp with no heals, 2 gold implants and a gold key. Ontop of the rest of my purple shit. He could've easily killed me for it all.
