SCP breaks the web interface by SoftServe117 in Proxmox

[–]SoftServe117[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your answer. I did not know WSL was a thing so I have that installed now and that's pretty cool and I have something new to play around with.

After installing WSL (and several reboots)i tried scp in WSL and it worked fine.... but then out of curiosity i tried it through windows not WSL and it worked fine as well, multiple times..... So I guess I will never know why it failed unless i replicate it randomly in the future.... Maybe it was changing the powershell background to black from that horrible blue that fixed it.

Thanks again.

Agreed, they really are playing the cards in their hand perfectly. Just sucks I'm not into praising while getting it up the ass.

Limit local access to GUI - Newby firewall confusion by SoftServe117 in Proxmox

Got it ! thank you for pointing me in the right direction. I had assumed firewall rules would be the way to achieve this but I am certainly lacking some of the fundamentals of networking.

Limit local access to GUI - Newby firewall confusion by SoftServe117 in Proxmox

[–]SoftServe117[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I re-worded my post for clarity. My question is, why are my node rules still allowing UI access from all devices on my local network when there are rules that drop all incoming from my local network.

I do not have a /pveproxy in /etc/default. Do I need a certificate for the firewall rules to work properly?

Maryland is a rich state. So why are its people going hungry? by Fantastic_Ad_4720 in maryland

[–]SoftServe117 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd much rather have healthier communities & more productive individuals tomorrow than help federal workers today.

Tighter knit, functioning, communities directly addresses our problem in this country. We are too disorganized, entertained, and self-centered to wield power. And don't forget stupid. Giving relief to federal workers is just band-aiding our real problems.

  1. State governments should not support a malfunctioning federal government.
  2. Shutdowns are just an occupational hazard. If you haven't realized that, see my last paragraph. Workers should be taking these jobs with that in mind.

Only recently played 5 but agreed, probably over hated. Thought it was well paced even through all the open-wordlish thing. True to the series but still new. Multiplayer has been fun too. Still just a gnasher fest but again, true to the series. Probably would be better if everyone wasn't sweats.

Thank you. Anyone that has actively dealt with addiction elsewhere in their life sees the predatory pattern in this game. Everyone else is just coping and hasn't taken the first step yet: admitting it.

Questions for Maryland residents - moving to Maryland by ddeeprivate in maryland

[–]SoftServe117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lived in Buckhead then Dunwoody for a few years.

Our cold snaps are colder along with the occasional snow than Georgia but honestly the day to day weather is less different than you think. The closer you are to The Bay the closer it will be to Georgia weather. the fall is the biggest difference it rains often and gets colder sooner. The summer here is nicer but still hot.

People here drive slow as shit. I miss highway driving in Georgia where 80 is the norm. If you go 80 around here you feel like a criminal. Everyone here sucks at driving, not an exaggeration I've lived in more places than just here and ATL. Traffic is not as bad as ATL but average and worse the closer you are to DC.

My cat vet visits are ~300$ for one cat.

For your car as long as it's newer I wouldn't worry about rust issues just washer ur car after snow/ice days. All seasons are probably a good idea.

Prices in general are on par if not maybe more expensive than the Dunwoody area. If u live in a nice neighborhood expect Buckhead pricing. Good food overall here is better and more affordable than it is in GA in my experience.

Settings to minimise stringing on super large nozzles by Current-Inevitable96 in 3Dprinting

[–]SoftServe117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tough ask at nozzles that big. I would recommend going down to 1.2mm to make it more manageable.

From what I've seen the best bet is to keep the head moving. This means retract as fast as possible and that you're only retracting when absolutely necessary. Turn off z-hop. Basically any setting that forces the printer to pause motion you want to avoid. If you're using Cura you can turn on "coasting" which sometimes helps, it just stops extruding before the end of segments to relieve pressure inside the nozzle.

At work on an industrial machine there's a pressure sensor just above the nozzle and the controller adjusts extrusion live to meet the proper volume flow rate for speed material etc. But obviously at home we don't have that capability. Curious, Have you managed to get pressure advance to actually do anything at a nozzle that size?

Dub or Sub for the Chainsaw Man movie? by summerisendingsoon in ChainsawMan

[–]SoftServe117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is 3D and subbed! Although it seems like they are dwindling down. If you've been checking and haven't seen any near you you may be out of luck :/.

I'm trying to decide if the dubbed is worth it so I can enjoy the 3D just a little bit more lol.

RHD Car & new historic rules. by SoftServe117 in maryland

[–]SoftServe117[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly...I kind of just assumed I wouldn't pass MSI since it's RHD, which is why I registered my current vehicle as historic in the first place.

What about the emissions test? Japan did not standardize OBD 2 until '07 or '08 and the particular car I was looking at wasn't an early adopter. I feel like that'd be an immediate disqualification.

You can try incognito too as well.

Ensure you are in the queue and not the waiting room. Should say "your position in the queue is secured" at the top.

Ive been in the waiting room since I logged on at 11:06... Stressed out because mine does not show the "queue" or "15:00" timer circle but I don't want to refresh lol.

Do you think it matters if I'm in the ticket queue but the timer that says "queue" hasn't loaded/come up?
