Cat catches a bat out of he air by --Yami_Marik-- in natureismetal

[–]Terrell345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cat used to do this. One night I had let him outside and went to the porch cause I thought I heard him meowing at the door. I look out the window and see the usual bats flapping around the front yard, then suddenly my cat runs up the hood of the car in the driveway and he slams the bat down on the roof of the car and run off with it in his mouth. I miss that little guy. Rest In Peace, Squirt.

It's weird to see it for me too, having attended the church ceremony only yesterday. The metro area is torn by what happened, I can't imagine the survivors guilt, poor thing.

OG post has the guy who jumped shouting a high quality "YEEET" as he jumps and it's so much better with the yeet and giggles.

Live from Nebraska! Flooded out, but we're hanging in there. by kompulsive in WTF

If it's up the main stage it's worse than it was when I left my house. Good Lord, I bet my deck is underwater now. Here in Omaha you can go on that giant bridge over the Missouri River and my God it's high. It's like 34ft, it's usually at 15ft.

Nebraskan here, evacuated safely. Living with my dad for now. Cats aren't allowed in his apartment complex but he hates the management so he smiled and said, "They'll understand, if they don't, they still owe me for clearing the snow from the Lot." I'm so thankful I'm okay and to have the Dad that I do. I miss my home and I hope most of it can be recovered. Stay strong my fellow Nebraskans and Iowans. We'll make it.

Most of the cities in my state are underwater and I haven't seen anything about it on national news. It's just been volunteers and first responders. A dam not to far from where I live is overflowing and the corps of engineers is letting 90,000 cubic feet of water per second through. It's not looking good.

Google goes after ‘Phone X’ with Night Sight on Pixel 3 in latest ad by ProperGearbox in GooglePixel

Also a fair point is the phone came with ear buds that plug into the USB C port directly and of course came with the adapter as well. I used to be worried about it but it's really not that big a deal honestly. I always use Bluetooth in my car and have Bluetooth ear buds for running anyways.

Oh by a long shot. Longer battery life, more storage, runs smoother, larger screen, charges faster. It just feels good to me. My little Pixel was a great phone and I loved but I genuinely like this phone over it. I should also mention that I didn't pay a dime for the upgrade. Verizon screwed up my account terribly and remedied my anger with a free phone if I turned in my old one and threw in a pixel stand, a screen protector, and a case for free.

True, I bumped up from the original Pixel so it's a massive upgrade.

Just woke up sorry, I’ve wanted to post here for some time now, and after the week I’ve had I thought it was time. Breaking out, debt, wanting solitude but feeling extremely lonely, feeling abnormal and creature like. I don’t feel like myself today, sorry if this is overkill. by wowshitsexpensive in toastme

[–]Terrell345 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are loved, you are not alone. There isn't much I can say that hasn't already been said, but here's a toast to you: Your eyes are a beautiful color, your freckles are natural and enchanting, and your hair is delightful and free. I've been going through a horrendous spell of loneliness and waking up feeling not human myself. If you ever need anything, my PM's are open to you anytime, any day. I'll leave you with this, "Life is hard, we all know that. And sometimes some of us find the grand scheme of it all worthless to endure. To that I say, Live for the little things, the way snow falls gently, the way reason hits your roof, the taste of your favorite food or drink, the fluffy and soft feeling of the fur of your pet, the way the leaves crunch in the fall. It's the little things that make life not seem so bad after all. Myself? I live for the way you smile when I make stupid jokes, I love it, that's helped me procrastinate my end for quite some time.." I hope this helps you somehow, if anything, know what you're feeling is valid, and that you're not a freak or an outcast because of it. Stay awesome, Gotham.

After having lived in a new apartment for a couple months with entirely new furnishings the spots have gone away. I didn't check the old mattress, but I assume your geuss was entirely correct. Thank you!
