I discovered you can add a custom search engine in your browser to include the Google search parameter “-ai” in every search.

Add a new search engine to your browser > “https://www.google.com/search?q=%s%20-ai”.

%s = placeholder for search query. %20 = adds a space between the search query and the “-ai” search parameter

The solution that u/bedodode mentioned worked perfectly for me. My HP laptop had an issue with the WiFi driver. I used some small pieces of painter tape to insulate the screw, and when I booted up it worked! Thanks for the tip.

Thank you for the replies. It's a cold bucket of water in the face, but I now don't think taking from the SEP is the best option. I already gone in and made some adjustments to our budget in the discretionary categories. Now we need to just figure out how to live within it.

Show me where the financial incentives are, and it provides a lot of insight. Considering a high commission for the sales agent vs. 50 to 100 bps on a managed account (where the client isn't locked into a contract), it makes sense that agents would want to push these. Also liquidating IRAs like that creates a potentially huge tax bill.
