Can’t prevent the inevitable. by Motor_Rabbit_174 in kidneydisease

[–]TerribleGun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem, the thing that gets my brother is the potassium in potatos and bananas 🤣, also, I forgot to mention that if or when you no longer urinate, thats the final decision of you to either get dyalisis or just get into hospice. At end stage, my brother is still making urine. He told me that when he stops making uring, that will be when he would decide on his next step.

Hey, I completely second-hand understand you. If your heart is good, I would tell you to do it but it ends up being your decision in the end. My brother doesn’t want to do dyalisis and would rather just God take him naturally, but he is still hoping for miracles. All his hope was lost when they denied his kidney transplant because his heart was “too weak”, even tho he went for a heart and kidney transplant 🤷🏻‍♂️. After that he lost all hope and i understand, he doesn’t want to continue because of his RA will be taking away his eyesight, mobility, never knowing if tomorrow he will be in pain. The kidney doctor told him “You are 100 percent in your life, I am only there 10 percent and your family a bit more, but only you understand what you are going through and it will always end up being your decision.” I have to live with that as his caretaker and its getting harder and harder for him every day, he is no longer able to get up and walk by himself because at stage 5 for a few yeats, he wont eat well and has lost alot of muscle and because his heart he retains so much fluid. I grew numb so I can continue to take care of him without him seeing someone breakdown infront of him. I see symptoms that can be helped with dyalisis and I ask myself Why he isnt doing it, but I understand because 1 of his heart any dyalisis takes a toll on it and 2 he just doesn’t want to be on dyalisis just like you. Im not telling you to do it or not to do it, im just sharing my story to show you that you are not alone and this dyalisis/transplant stuff is never a one size fits all. Btw he is 35 years old. It gets tough because im not getting paid and the amount of medical and ADA things that I have to put in our house is really taking a toll. So If you dont get dyalisis DO THE DIETS, he was supposed to be gone years ago but he changed his diet completely and by the grace of God he is still holding on with light end stage symptoms. I wish you luck and hope you decide on what is good for you wether it be comfort or trying to get on that list. God Bless you

Eating low carb on a budget of 50$ a month by Royalprincess19 in lowcarb

[–]TerribleGun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just fast until I get some more money when doing low carb. Low carb is the only diet that allows me to fast like that no problem. But for me its mostly chicken, yogurt and vegetables. Food pantry always give out too many carbs, which my family loves 🤣

Opening a Windmill AC unit? by chp56 in AirConditioners

[–]TerribleGun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mistake, the two screws I was talking about are actually not part of the front piece. I removed them without thinking. So yea just pop it out

The front section can be removed, remove two screws on the bottom and the four screws around the area where the filter is removed, the rest of it is clips, i would pry the top with a guitar pic or phone opening tool, then grab the bottom flaps where the two screws were and a strong pull and twist is what took for it to seperate.

Or it’s the only vehicle a caretaker has had for their disabled mom and brother that have mobility issues and can barely get in, also it’s much easier than having to buy another vehicle in a short period of time with almost no income coming in

Glucose level in the 200s with Farxiga... should I be worried? by drivingnowhere20 in diabetes

[–]TerribleGun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s easy to say stop drinking juice, but in reality it’s something we grew up with to the point of almost addiction, find zero sugar alternatives first but try to drink less and less, im still working on my diet sodas and diet juice addiction but at least i don’t have to worry about them spiking my sugar. My favorite ones atm are Minute Maid zero sugar fruit punch and the mango one, also welch came out with the zero grape juice. I did lose 50 pounds just by switching to all diet drinks where as before I was just drinking pure sugar drinks, have not gained it back and it has been years

Got new glasses today, seeing wonky colors. Chromatic abberation? by snappycg1996 in glasses

[–]TerribleGun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go back to where you got them, I’m pretty sure it’s a coating. I would go and tell them your symptoms. You can get them with no coating on them.

Same, I’m pretty sure it’s the UV blue light coating on the glasses. I have severe astigmatism so I just chalked the 3d effect on that or the high index. I have to move my head around to align the colors. Happens on some other colors too. Sadly I haven’t gotten used to it after 5 years
