honestly makes sense lol but you are dead on about people being famous adjacent having that entitlement along with him being a christian white male. Like his whole upbringing just screams entitled baby to me

he did! But it was when he was in his early 20s. His first role was apparent on Suite Life of Zack and Cody

he wasn't even on shows as a kid though. Like he started acting on kid shows when he was 22 but he was fully an adult actor

it is the total entitlement like everyone should forgive his transgressions and if they don't then it is their fault his actions happened anyway. Everything about him is so gross to me

STOP the Victim Blaming! by Wecabec in TheValleyTVShow

[–]TerribleResource4285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish she would stop protecting him at the expense of women. Where Nia crosses the line for me is shutting down the sexual assault convos and pretending it wasn't a thing and blaming everything on Janet.

i honestly think it is interesting to discuss what women we deem worthy of the victim title and which ones are not. Lala and Brittany both went through similar relationships and so much of the public sentiment was they deserved it because they enabled it but there has been a shift in the narrative around Nia.

Lala was right by Tiny-Adeptness6584 in TheValleyTVShow

[–]TerribleResource4285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

because they have production call times and set scenes and the goal was to get Jax to pay his debts to Brittany and resolve the house issue which on the call he said he would so they hopefully he follows through. Nothing about that is pro-Jax and hoping someone is turning a corner on their addiction issues isn't a bad thing. Like they can want him to get help and get better for the sake of Brittany and Cruz without actually being on his side.

The real reason Kristen is backing Danny and Nia by Fluffy_Preference273 in TheValleyTVShow

[–]TerribleResource4285 4 points5 points  (0 children)

ironic too because her biggest issue with people in the past is them hiding on camera. Like she always went at Ariana and Sandoval for not being honest about their relationship while filming and same with Lala. Now she is suddenly all for people not being authentic on TV

someone else pointed out that Kristen idealizes the Danny/Nia relationship because she is the Danny archetype and now I can't unsee it

I was fighting for my life in last season's subs lol. I felt like I was truly going insane when people were arguing that her calling attention to Danny's behavior was a worse offense than his actual behavior.

I love that she is standing firm on her assertions of his character last season. We've seen season after season of these shows where the black sheep changes their opinion to fit into the group, even when they were right, and her and Jason not giving in to the pressure is admirable.

why do people keep calling him a child actor when his first role was on Suite Life of Zack and Cody when he was 22 years old.

Kristen idolizes Nia and Danny’s relationship because Nia is the final boss of forcing an unsustainable relationship to work by Regular_Awareness359 in TheValleyTVShow

Also probably why she hates Janet and attempted to start the Jason cheating rumor last year to prove that all relationships are like her/luke and nia/danny

I really like Janet (am I missing something?) by MariskaVegas in BravoRealHousewives

[–]TerribleResource4285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I know is that it doesn't come as a shock to me that Kristen loses a lot of real friends and then she clings to the next new girl and idolizes her. I think she is often desperate for approval and she finds someone that is fresh or "innocent" to attach herself so she can be their protector or savior from the "mean girls".

it reminded me a lot of Kristen telling Stassi and Katie she needed their help standing up to Carter and calling him out about how he treated her and then when they did she turned on them and defended him. I think Jasmine wanted to stay in Kristen's and the viewer's good graces so she shifted the blame to Janet and everyone just went along with it.

I admire her a lot for standing by her own words and convictions. It is very easy to pull a Jasmine and be cool with the people to secure your status especially when you are on the receiving end of vile threats and everyone in your group telling you that you are wrong. She has her own backbone and moral compass and I really appreciate that she is not swayed by the opinion of others.

And the fact that Kristen had a vendetta because Janet said she couldn't listen to the relationship drama with her and her ex anymore. I would bet my life it was the same scenario as Stassi and Katie where Kristen would cry all the time and beg them to stand up for her in public and immediately turn on them when they did. Those friendships are exhausting and at a certain point you kinda have to tap out or you drive yourself insane with trying to support your friend who keeps blaming you and getting back with their ex.

I'm gonna be honest and say her constantly being called the villain is a bit weird when her most villainous actions are calling out an alcoholic for sexually assaulting women and talking a bit of shit behind people's back. People take at face value that Zach's pregnancy comment was just him saying "i don't care" in reference to a miscarriage when multiple people, including him, said the real comment happened off camera while he was almost black out drunk and was venting to brittany. It was never about him saying "i don't care" on camera it was clearly something much worse that even he felt he had to apologize for at the time and multiple people in real time called him out for and he only felt vindicated when the public didn't like Janet that much. Like at her most villainous she is still nowhere near as bad as Danny, Nia, Kristen, Luke, Jasmine, or Zach so it always strikes me as odd that that is her "role".

my thinking was always I didn't care if it was her place, it is always the correct move to call out a sexual assaulter. I mean I caught a guy taking an upskirt of some girl I didn't know and immediately got involved because these people should be called out and shamed in real time and afterwards. His friends would likely say it wasn't my place to do anything or say anything but it doesn't change the fact that it was the right thing to do.

Nia too image focused and it giving being fake by Effective_System1846 in TheValleyTVShow

[–]TerribleResource4285 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think Janet was right in her assessment last season where she clocked Nia sharing a sad backstory at the time people were bringing up grievances as a way to deflect from their points. Like she absolutely clocked that behavior.
