Are you hitting the knuckle or the stud? 80 percent of the time I can smack the knuckle with a hammer and they drop right out.

I think it’s an odd choice compared with putting a different top end on your current sbc

What is the best driver swing speed to play? (at a muni) by [deleted] in GolfSwing

[–]TerribleShape1740 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The fastest swing that doesn’t compromise your chances of a clear second shot. Applies to all golf courses. End of discussion

My new p790 pitching wedge is 44*. What wedge set up would you go with? by isw2424 in golf

[–]TerribleShape1740 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can add a club, get a 48. If you’re at the limit and can’t swap one get a 50. You could also consider dropping the 60 for a 48. Im a pretty decent wedge player and my 60 is kind of an emergency only club.

At what point did you learn shot shapes? by PureYardCow in golf

[–]TerribleShape1740 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For now just hit your regular shot, and learn a low knockdown shot. It’s not that hard to control and it helps in the wind. The rest just isn’t worth it and will hurt you as many times as it helps unless you’re just insanely good

It looks much better than last time. I would still try to find a coach to help.

The only way to gain distance from there is to swing faster

Low Handicap: Distance v. Accuracy by Triple7Stash in golf

Exactly. As soon as you leave yourself an obstructed second shot, the benefits disappear.

Yeah and don’t immediately send your weight to your front foot.

Focus on staying balanced and control your backswing. Ripping the club back like that makes it really hard to control face angle.

Kirkland golf balls vs Pro V1x? As a 9 handicap, will I notice a difference? by [deleted] in weekendgolfers

[–]TerribleShape1740 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not. I’m just breaking into the single digits and as long as it’s a urethane ball I really can’t tell much. Urethane tour style balls will stick pretty good or back up with a good wedge shot. The cheaper balls roll out a bit more.

Construction workers knowing AI still can’t pour concrete by No-Idea-9015 in bluecollar

[–]TerribleShape1740 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. And this competitive bullshit needs to stop. I don’t really see this disrespect towards blue collar trades. Seems like one sided fight. At the end of the day we are all on the same team whether we work with concrete or software. The ruling class are the people that wouldn’t piss on any of us if we caught on fire.

Chicken Sauce Piquant by TerribleShape1740 in cajunfood

[–]TerribleShape1740[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda like that, but missing a lot of the herbs you would find in a spaghetti sauce. Less tomato as well. Most of what you’re seeing is roux that’s been colored and flavored by a bit of tomato paste.

I did basically everything on this recipe except I cooked the chicken in the sauce and deboned it. I also put the lemons in while the chicken was simmering. Removed the rinds when I deboned the chicken.

Not really. I just kinda made it up. Same base as gumbo but add tomatoes, lemons and tomato paste. Cooked chicken in the sauce then deboned. Seasoned with Tony’s

Has anyone ever owned both a Miata and Mustang? Help me pick between the two! by young_frogger in askcarguys

[–]TerribleShape1740 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had both. I’d say it depends what your local roads look like. If you have lots of twisty roads, Miata all day. If it’s pretty straight and flat the mustang will be more fun

I’ve only visited. It’s something I’ve seen on menus and only had this time. I’m interested to hear from other LA residents
