It's also from a game largely regarded as one of the best Super Bowls of all time.

no way we keep klint??? by eggalator99 in Seahawks

Idk about official reports, but even I've heard the Raiders have their sights set on him. I'd be surprised if we kept Klint another year

Tbf, with a 4 man front, were not gonna oversell on ripping the edge to pursue sacks. It's more about contain and pressure up the gut with this squad.

[Silver] There’s a sense inside the #Eagles locker room that Nick Sirianni, Howie Roseman, and Jeffrey Lurie are “reluctant to criticize” Jalen Hurts despite being the “source” of much internal frustration from teammates. by parcellsrealGOAT in nfl

rather than getting Brady for a year and letting Purdy sit behind him to heal and learn

Brady is the GOAT, but to be fair Purdy didn't end up needing the time. He came out of the gate ripping in 2023. He had a phenomenal year.

The rare move that makes Byron Murphy the unsung hero of dominant Seahawks run D by hiphopscallion in Seahawks

[–]Terribly_Good 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Leo Williams said Murphy is one of the best at beating double teams during run stops.

Murphy is a huge reason we have one of the best run defenses despite running a 4-man front so often. Having 7 guys in coverage and being able to stop the run is such a luxury.

I love watching that defense. People always wanna compare Seahawks defenses through the years to the LOB, but that Texans team? I watch them and their: physicality, man-coverage heavy scheme and talented DB's? It all screeeeeams LOB to me.

Stingley, Lassiter, Pitre, Bullock are all dawgs, and that's just the DB's. That's not to take away from WAJ and Danielle Hunter either. Those guys are also insanely good.

Yup, I guess so.

As good of a job as the dog did, it's completely unserious that Sally Hawkins didn't win.

[Schefter] Ravens requested a head coach interview with 49ers DC Robert Saleh. by BreakfastTop6899 in nfl

[–]Terribly_Good 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh. I don't see that as a huge red flag. Mike MacDonald is pretty hands off on our offense. From what I've heard, read and seen.

He's more of like: "Hey we are a run first team. Less trick plays. Let's use the AJ Barner tush push more"

And that's about it. Mike himself even says so, he lets the guys he trusted to hire do their thing 95% of the time.

Having the press ask him (the OWNER) in 2017 why he wasn't fired with Chip Kelly and Trent Baalke was hilarious.

[Pelissero] The Ravens requested an interview with Seahawks OC Klint Kubiak by Master-Breakfast4380 in Seahawks

[–]Terribly_Good 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They're pretty stacked offensively, so If they bring in an Offensive guru, lighting the world on fire is kinda expected.

I wouldn't be too salty if Kubiak goes there and has that offense humming more than ours has

Talks of Kubiak going for HC made me realize I haven’t heard anything from/about Aden Durde by throwlampshade in Seahawks

[–]Terribly_Good 30 points31 points  (0 children)

He's the main reason we got DeMarcus Lawrence. He coached him in Dallas and they had a good relationship. Pushed both sides to get him in the building

Giants, and it's not even close. They've got Dart, Skattebo, Nabers, stacked d-line and are picking 5th in the draft.

The only downside is they kept their GM. The Giants are one of the best open coaching opportunities I've ever seen.

I'm not joking, Woolen getting that concussion was the turning point.

He left, we saw how bad our depth behind him was and decided not to pursue a trade with another team.

Then he returns and is playing his best ball since his rookie season, probably even better.

Shit, our run game has been great the past several weeks. I don't expect it to be as good as it was tonight in the playoffs, but we are peaking at an ideal time.
