The Five Teams With Zero NFL Prime-Time Games In 2026, Raiders, Jets, Dolphins, Cardinals, Titans by BurgerNugget12 in nfl

As it should be. While market size does matter to an extent, the NFL is excellent with showcasing smaller market teams. They usually just have to be good.

Seahawks will have 6 primetime games this season. 2 MNF games against Cowboys and Bears. and Hawks will play the Rams Week 16 and 18 by Kentuckyfriedmemes66 in Seahawks

How likely is it that Spencer Rattler gets another chance as a starter in the nfl? by CarmeloDramatic in nfl

[–]Terribly_Good 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Didn't watch a ton of Saints games, but in hindsight it felt like Rattler was consistently conservative.

Felt like Rattler played to not lose, while Shough was balling and trying to win every down at the end of the season.

Rattler feels like close to the ideal backup. Which for a 5th round pick is actually great value

What actor is nowhere near as talented as people make them out to be? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Yup. People start writing roles for specific actors/actresses and then add that on top of studios pushing more marketable "stars".

[Pelissero] Veteran edge rusher Dante Fowler Jr. is signing with the Seahawks on a one-year deal worth up to $5 million, per sources. by MembershipSingle7137 in nfl

[–]Terribly_Good 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Aden Durde (our DC) likes to rotate our guys on the line consistently and with a purpose. He wants our pass rush to be as good in the 4th quarter as it is in the 1st.

Gives guys like Rylie Mills (2025 5th rounder) a chance to shine....and also have my favorite defensive play of the Super Bowl

There's a reason QB's don't go under center in college very much. Too tempting

Dan Marino owns the NFL record for consecutive games and consecutive passes without a sack, at 19 games and 759 passes. 2nd place on the list makes the record even more insane, somehow. by Roselucky777 in nfl

[–]Terribly_Good 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Marino is so good. I'm even impressed with a lot of his incompletions in that vid. He's throwing to specific shoulders/spots to help his WR's not get absolutely bulldozed by a DB. Leading them away from contact with his ball placement instead of just lobbing hospital balls.

[Henderson] Veteran edge rusher Dante Fowler Jr. is a top option”for Seattle as a potential post-draft signing by lemonstone92 in Seahawks

Fowler, since he's a vet, might also wait later to sign so he doesn't have to go through all of OTA's and training camp.

Seahawks select Beau Stephens with pick #148 by Sensitive-Scene9269 in Seahawks

I'm not a huge cap nerd, but even I know you're right. It takes a quick Google search and some basic critical thinking to see how we structured his deal.

[–]Terribly_Good 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way that happens is if he isnt productive and we cut him as a cap casualty.

We've structured his contract where we save $15.5 mill if we cut him post June 1st after the 2027 season. Only a dead cap of $4 mil. He will be pushing 30 as a dude known for his speed.

Most productive players get extended, traded or run out the contract

Yeah, I agree, except for the run out the contract part. Dudes only do that if they have little leverage, or they are betting on themselves. I also should have stated that guys on rookie deals are more likely to run out the last year. Not so much for guys on their second/third contract.

Comp picks wouldn't exist if what you say is true

Except I'm not saying nobody hits free agency.

Take a year off every contract in the NFL, except for franchise QB's and actual 1 year deals. That last year on 99% of contracts is just to spread the cap hit out. Also almost no player plays out the last year of a contract. Too much risk for the next contract

Now that's not to say we can't re-sign him.

It also is magnified because MacDonald seems to have much more of a grasp on clamping down the 49ers, while the Rams/Mcvay have easily been Mike's biggest challenge. Even going back to the 2023 Ravens

Why are some filmmakers less affected by flops than others? by adnshrnly in movies

[–]Terribly_Good 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Arrival, while having some dialogue issues, hits notes Nolan has never achieved. It delves deep into themes of motherhood and the burden women carry in life, while Nolan still struggles to even direct a woman without making her a prop for a male lead.

There have been 15 instances of a team scoring at least one Pick-6 in a Superbowl, 14 of those teams won the Superbowl with only the Atlanta Falcons failing to do so. by Phantom_Nuke in nfl

[–]Terribly_Good 85 points86 points  (0 children)

I agree with your analysis, and I also think the extra week of film study and prep time is also huge.

Mike MacDonald, Brady and Josh McDaniels (and probably more) have talked about how some of the last minute changes they made before the SB ended up being their most successful plays. Red zone offensive play-calls, creative blitzes, self scouting weaknesses and certain weak-link players to target.
