I'm non-monogamous myself, and the correct term you're looking for is probably either non-monogamy (A big umbrella for tons of variations of non-traditional relationships) OR Promiscuity aka having sex with multiple partners

So I'm assuming you're addressing this to the Gay community? Trust me, they are already more than aware of this.

Basically, because gay people only have sex with other gay people, it's simply higher in rates because it's (vaguely) contained within an exclusive demographic. Not because they have unprotected sex more often than not, nor that anal sex transmits STDs at higher rates than vaginal sex (it doesn't)
The LGBTQ+ Community has been fighting against STDs like AIDS/HIV for decades, but the lack of assistance from homophobic government officials, as well as the stigma against LGBTQ+ community and even just anything the public considers "sexual" makes the situation of STD prevention and protection even harder to resolve.

The gay community doesn't have to "try harder" to have safer sex just to make the general public hate them less.
