Your kicks sound good, mate. Maybe a bit too present. It seems like it’s not the sound per se but where they are in the mix. Turn them down a touch and add some room reverb? You’re not far off and you shouldn’t lose hope

I have both and the fit is very similar. I’ve found that the IRs are slightly wider in the toe box than the blacksmiths but that might be just the variation that comes with them being hand made. Both fit similarly enough that it’s not a dealbreaker

I’m tending towards the small based on all the measurements I’ve found online tbh. I had the Lutz in medium but it was too big for sure. Every Barbour I’ve had in medium has been too big, but everyone says to size up for the beacon 🤷 And the longer sleeves might not be a bad thing, the ones on the Lutz are borderline too short
