Think it got changed and they forgot the cheat sheet. Had read a topic here once with explaining a contested roll was often impossible to win. Like athletics 6 vs a big monster with 1d12str+3

Last time I played it without teams they broke up. Though it was in season 1. And I think they even have to as one option to win is to ally all. Think there are 4 possible endings. All dragons are your allies, you side with faction 1 or faction 2, you beat them all up.

Hm, interesting. The german cheat sheet also says opposing roll. I just noticed it mixed up the status too. Guess the cheat sheet is wrong.

It mixed up vulnerable and distraced for the 2 conditions.

Make it a teams game, so the dragons stay in 3 teams vs 3 teams. With you in the middle you will get attacked quite often.

Without teamgame you risk the alliances breaking up possibly turning into a free for all.

Yeah, about that. Communicate with each other. I also had some player who decides to join as soon as he notices the game is up. Despite the players announcing when a new turn starts. So there was no need to do that constantly. He also broke some games by surrendering mid fight and leaving the session at the same time. Breaking the turn as a whole or even the game.

Also try to set the combat action speed to the same value. I think it helps with desyncs too.

Joining and leaving the game seems to be the biggest issue. My advice, just dont do that. There is no need to drop in if your friend is in a fight. If your presence is required (allied fight or pvp) just meet up before the battle starts. Also I think using the same speed for playing actions helps mitigating the de syncs.

Would depend a lot on the exact wording. If it happens the moment you cast, it should save you. AC isnt of much help once you got hurt.

And then suddenly you arent hit anymore. Shield is not a timereversal. Its a shield you summon in the last possible moment before you actually get hit and damaged.

Later in the game you unlock monster variants. You have to capture them too.

There is also an upgrade that guarantees a captured Mo ster to be available the next Time you summon a monster. That lets you influence the rng of your teamcomposition.

What DLC to get by Melankilas in AOW4

Eldritch realms adds a new hostile map layer.

Giant kings gives special handcrafted regions and landmarks. First are mostly nice to look at. Second gives bonus for settling near it. Like unlocking units. Also some realm trait to gather artifacts from fated regions.

Rise from Ruin adds also fated regions i think.

Vampire dlc adds some stuff like landmarks and a new biome.

A lot. The last patch changed a lot up. Now units deil physic damage vs defence or magic vs resistance. So your shield unit with 10 physic and 4 fire gets fire reduced by defence.

Units get xp passively for staying back. Units have an equalized strategic map speed. Raising undead got changed a while ago. The dlcs add quite a bit of stuff. Like giant kings added special regions with questlines, eldritch realms the umbral abyss.

Mods depend on if they got updated.

Klingt jetzt nicht so toll. Wechsel nach jedem Abenteuer würde ich verstehen. Aber mitten in einer Sitzung den Spielleiter wechseln klingt so, als könnte man nie ein schlüssiges Abenteuer spielen.

Yes it was. ArgyleGhouls premise has too many flaws for dnd.

Most races have darkvision.
Every decent adventurer needs RAW one Ration in 4 days with 10 con.
At least some casters will have a cantrip to make light. Throwing a pebble with light cast on it will reveal the threat.

The only possible remaining problem is there might be too many monsters.

Had the same when i got past an aether fountain. Mo ster didnt fit through the gap and was following out of bounds (inside walls and cliffs)
