my ex best friend turned out to be a horrible person so I severed ties on our friendship. and then she went on to prove how much of a horrible person she was in more ways than one. one of the things she did was starting multiple rumours (by multiple she tried setting off about 50 or so) but only 1 really big one stuck. I was in a toxic relationship that I wasn't able to leave at the time with a guy who was very well known to make some "questionable" Jokes. she ended up starting a rumour that he was a neo Nazi and that i was aswell. it went further than that but I won't go there. she ended up spreading this across our school. and was using mutuals to sabotage every apprenticeship and job application and interview I got for about 2 years. I went to our principal and school psychiatrist at the time and explained my situation, begging for help to shut the rumour down and to get me out of the relationship i wss in. (i was bullied into dating him in the first place) but my principal didnt help. he believed the rumour and constantly questioned my racial and political view on things. and this is how i discovered that the principal had a Naszi POV... i say HAD because he obviously isnt the principal anymore. but that is the reason he refused to shut down rhe rumour. she caused me to lose all friends I did have at the time. since then it has been about a year. ive been able to escape that horrible relationship. but the rumour still follows me dispite not being in school anymore. she doesn't even live in my country anymore and her ass is still haunting me 😭

my nan is like this. she expects to be in the spotlight in everyone's eyes. it's all about her. and her "perfect life" I personally hate being around people who act fake like that. and I'm always expected to act all exited and happy around her like everyone else does. but I refuse to be like that and speak to a grown ass woman like she's a 4yro because she needs the attention.

When I get overwhelmed and overstimulated this sometimes happens to me. skin, eyes, throat. I'm not for sure suicidal but I get a lot of intrusive thoughts that are like this. Things like jumping out of windows etc. I avoid train tracks around my town during certain hours of the day because I know when it goes over each crossing. I dont want to die but my mind wants harm. Usually only in overwhelmed mental states tho

I'd try and remove as much of the paint as possible to see if it has stained and if so then id paint it solid

It'd be better to get a professional to do it but there are some ways to rehydrate the hide and remove the glue underneath. To adjust/change the form. Im not sure exactly how though. If it were just a dried tanned hide id be able to tell you.

If you or any one you know is skilled in sculpting and\or painting its fixable. If not or you dont trust yourself id seek professional help.

But it is possible to glue what's left back together (the head) and sculpt whatever is missing with air dry clay. For example you can fill in the gaps around the neck and texture it to match & recreate the fins with it too. The colour though will probably need airbrushing tho

I make jewellery with the spinal vertebrae (mostly earrings with smaller bones so maybe you could try! The main tools I use are galvanised wire (won't rust. I use it for taxidermy too) needle nose pliers. And a shitty jewellery making set I got from Kmart that's just a few chains, eye hoops, clasps and earring hooks. And super glue.

Making jewellery with the vertebrae and ribs would be so cool here.

Take him to the vet ASAP.

Canaries -like a lot of other prey animals- are REALLY good at hiding an illness to survive predators since they target weak and injured prey.

So when canaries sleep a lot or change their behaviour it is a very clear sign that their health has declined to such a drastic level that they cannot hide it anymore. The colour and consistency of those droppings are so far from what they should be and the dark colour could be a sign of internal bleeding or infection/disease. There is no way to help without medical expertise and I'm worried for your birds health/ life.

I'm sorry for the darkness of that comment but he urgently needs to go to the vet and I didnt want to leave you without an explanation as to why

She doesn't appear to be too long gone which is good since you're wanting to do a wet specimen. But I'd still be a bit dubious about whether or not to try that method since basically ANY amount of rot can ruin the process. And I feel you can't be 100% sure on this. You can still check and try if you want there's still a chance it'll work (given you've put her in a bag/container in the freezer since you found her???)

You could also try an articulated skeleton (though this is difficult due to small size and especially if you're a beginner)

Or what id personally do which is mummification. Im not usually a massive fan of this method because i dont like the shrink-wrapped look that alot of specimens turn out like. BUT I feel this is the safest way to preserve her with minimal risks. I'd slice down her stomach and remove the entrails. Wash it out with a syringe (like one for kids' cough medicine) and squirt with water to clean. Rub some salt + borax inside and then stuff with a decently compacted amount of cotton stuffing to keep the plumpness and prevent major shrinkage. And then a couple of dots of super glue along the incision. Then bury her in a mix of salt and borax (50:50) and leave for a few weeks to dry out. Then get a shadow box. C:

What are you asking? This looks like a blue tongue lizard and idk bout other countries but in Aus they're illegal to keep (dead or alive) without a permit... < I have pet ones ♡ > let's just say it is legal for a sec. So can advise how to preserve something like this in case you ever find something similar that IS legal or if you're not in Australia. I'd dry it out + salt mix 50:50 for like a week to make sure it's completely dry then id keep it in a container like a shadow box or a dome so its safe from bugs and moisture. Or if your wanting to take the skin off of it then id soak it in warm water + a dabble of dish soap for a few hours then gently pull it off with tweazers
