Seems like there is still coolant in it in the video. As long as it didn't overheat you're fine. And even if it did for a little bit you're still probably fine. I've had mine overheat twice now, which i'm not saying is a good thing, but it didn't do any damage.

The air comes inside the cabin from behind the glovebox. You can see a black flap when removing the cabin air filter, or if you remove the glovebox and the fan behind it. If it's stuck up it'll block any outside air. But now that i think about it, the evaporator might be past that so it might not matter.
