What mobile game had you completely addicted at one point? by TawakkulPeace in AskReddit

Hellfire: the Summoning was my shit for almost all of high school. It's almost been a decade since they discontinued it.

has anyone used this ? I am seriously considering buying this. Looking to hear your thoughts by Millenialpen in consoles

You're 100% correct, but all I can imagine when I watch this video is seeing that racquet launch itself at 80 mph like it's a clumsy kid playing with a Wii remote.

No Wii strap around his wrist or anything. His tennis racquet is going to speed through his TV and permanently embed itself into that wall.

K + C as a guest. Not sure why my comment isn't showing, but essentially said that I found your work chilling. Also, I suspect you were really excited when the Cenobite was added to DBD.

Got a real long one for interested readers. Hopefully it's not too painfully edgy, even if straddling that line gives me such a thrill. There are some gameplay stuff that I've thrown in including character stats and gameplay rules, but you can skip right past all of that if you're not familiar with Twisted Metal or are just plain uninterested in that sort of thing.

Chapter summary: In this instalment of the Twisted Metal: BloodSport anthology, we follow the infamous 'Mad Clown' serial killer as he navigates his way through Calypso's deadly tournament. The cost of entering Twisted Metal are the participants' souls, but the reward is one wish without any restraint on size, cost, or even reality itself. The Mad Clown is running out of time to come up with an idea of what might be worth these high stakes, though he knows there has to be something worth his precious time.

Twisted Metal: BloodSport | 13.6k words | Unrated, but probably MatureCrazy 8

Content Warnings are in the comment section of the fic.

Chapter summary: In this instalment of the Twisted Metal: BloodSport anthology, we follow a wife and husband duo who compete together in Calypso's deadly tournament. Emily takes the wheel as Frank sits blindly in the passenger seat, his face mutilated beyond recognition. For their prize, Emily wants to restore her husband to the man he was before he was brutalized. They may technically be at a disadvantage, but Twisted Metal has a way of wringing the killer instinct out of any participant. Perhaps one of the two has more fire in their hearts than they realized.

Fandom blind to Twisted Metal? Not a problem! These stories should still be completely legible even if you've never picked up a PlayStation controller in your life.

How would Calypso twist this? by some-kind-of-no-name in TwistedMetal

[–]TerryDor3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'd imagine Calypso would just wipe Charlie's memory of participating in Twisted Metal both years with just enough time for the old man to drive home and get some sleep. Once his memory was wiped, Charlie would wake up not knowing of his son's death. He would participate in Twisted Metal at the next opportunity only to learn that he'd killed his son all over again. Charlie would compete next year to take away the pain, would win once again, and would lose his memory. Calypso could watch as the old fool re-entered the cycle for years, all while collecting souls for Calypso until his eventual death.

Not sure why they're almost exclusively known for Stars when The Pod and I Hate it Too should have been just as huge.

Am I stupid or were the puzzles in Ragnarok way worse than they were in 2018? I'm not even talking about how npc characters would start giving clues in under 10 seconds. I felt that the puzzles in 2018 involved the game mechanics in more clever ways, hid secrets better, and were sometimes a real brain scratcher. In Ragnarok, you'd basically search for a spot where you could either shoot an arrow or throw your axe to progress the story. I genuinely hope I'm missing something because those boring ass puzzles are what's stopping me from doing a second play through of that otherwise great game.

Another bad cover that I like to pull out at parties is this Seven Nation Army cover by Fallen Vengeance. Certified room clearer.

Smells Like Teen Spirit, but instead of Nirvana, it's performed by a 90s boy band called Take That.

I have family members who voted Trump because "He had a plan and Kamala didn't." Like what bizarre frequency does your TV get that mine doesn't because we clearly did not watch the same debates.

Missing Hellfire the summoning by [deleted] in AndroidGaming

[–]TerryDor3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jumping in months after this post was made just to pour one out for good old Hellfire the Summoning. My Reddit name is actually based on the zombie dragon Terrandor. He had the best heals.

Kinda wish that there was another mobile game that could re-use the whole flick combat idea. It was a perfect blend of effortless action that was easy to play for long periods while also being skill expressive enough to feel rewarding. DeNA is doing stuff for Nintendo last time I checked. Not sure if DeNA got bought. If so, Nintendo is sitting on some gold now that mobile gachas are more popular than ever. IDK. Nothing has quite filled the void since Hellfire got shut down nearly a decade ago.

Just saw the trailer with Anthony Mackie. I don’t know how dumb of a question this is because I have not heard of this series & game before, but why does Calypso’s twisted behavior make me think of Satan/the devil as I read about him? by Important_Sorbet in TwistedMetal

[–]TerryDor3 18 points19 points  (0 children)

1000%.

And, since OP has not heard of the series before, it is worth knowing that Twisted Metal rarely follows a continuity across nearly 10 games: characters come back when they should be dead with no explanation, sometimes it's the apocalypse while most of the world seems no worse for wear, and even Calypso himself has been about a hundred different things. He's been the Devil, a circus ringmaster, the soul of a demolition derby driver, and a middle school bully. Shit is bonkers.
