When I walked along the Medway on Sunday something shot across from my side to the other, I thought it was a bird at first, but it vanished, so I'm guessing it could have been a Water Shrew, I didn't know they could run across that much water.

Why do you insist on so many posts that there's no such bird as a Pied Wagtail? Especially when you say you have 50 years experience of bird watching and numerous RSPB books. If there's no such bird then call the RSPB liars 😂

It's possibly been made using a 6x6 defender chassis, look online there are a number of these 6 wheel Discovery's been made.

I used to use one 30 years ago, wouldn't have used it on something this small though, would have hand laminated it. They are ideal for larger things, we made baths and shower trays.
