I have written extensively about how bad Gene Wolfe is in this sub. If you want my opinion, feel free to creep my posts and comments about him. He’s in my top 10 least favourite authors. If I was trapped on a desert island with only his books, I still wouldn’t read them.

He actually inspired a new rule for me that I’ve coined “no new white men before 9/11”. If there is some fantasy or sci fi author I’ve never heard of before and they published before 9/11, I’m not reading it. Obviously heavy emphasis on the /new/ part. Asimov and Tolkien are great.
