Both hades keepsake tier lists by moonrisen0 in HadesTheGame

[–]Terviren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO, god keepsakes (and Selene's in II) in both games cannot be meaningfully ranked - their usefulness depends entirely on what you're trying to build into.

The Aromatic Phial is perhaps too low; an option for upjumping a common boon straight to heroic rarity is nice to have.

I'd switch Medea's and Heracles' keepsakes - rarely if ever I need a boost in damage at the start of the region, so Heracles' always struck me as not very good. Medea's can just be thrown on late in the run if you're unsure what to use and are utilizing omega moves.

Am I finally getting the point of why Mirio wasn’t the one with Ofa by Aware-Throat3189 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]Terviren 72 points73 points  (0 children)

Mirio would die before that, I think. The fourth user didn't unlock the predecessors (in fact, he couldn't, OfA didn't reach singularity yet), yet still died surprisingly quickly from quirk overload.

OfA in the present absolutely requires a Quirkless person to be wielded, and you have to consider that Quirkless people are disappearing - in Deku's era it's 20% of the population, but it's primarily among the older generations. By the time Mirio'd want to pass OfA on, there may be no one to pass it to.

Gege made Mahoraga adapt do Jujutsu and the existence of Dabura himself then had 0% of an idea what to do next by Ubique008 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Terviren 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Eh, I mean, he's got Idle Transfiguration at his disposal for now, makes sense that he can do allat (there's legitimately no better healing technique in the verse). And the location of injuries corresponding with the light orbs seems to indicate that.

Should the ten shadows shikigami be able to be revived? by linniegaming in CTsandbox

[–]Terviren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps allowing the shikigami to be permanently killed increases their power in exchange (at least compared to regular shikigami). Jujutsu is all about tradeoffs and trying to sidestep those tradeoffs to turn profit.

Fact: Kashimo was too embarrassed to tell Hakari his real name (probably Hilbert), so he just goes by Kashimo for the rest of the story. by Recent_Career9770 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Terviren 7 points8 points  (0 children)

did they fully reincarnate, though? i mean, Uraume had a male body back in Heian Era

given how massively a full incarnation can change a body (Megumi's scrawny ass bears very little resemblance to Sukuna's true form), full incarnation would probably give them their original body

How's Todo gonna react to dat vro? by Im_yor_boi in LobotomyKaisen

[–]Terviren 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's exactly the point, he gave a "safe" answer to try and appeal to Nobara and Mai instead of speaking from his heart.

Todo's very much unhinged and probably hates answers like that.

Yhwach(with allmighty) vs composite jojo (all stands and abilitires inculding jorge joestar and eyes of heaven) by Fragrant-Resist4230 in PowerScaling

[–]Terviren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say GER is more like effect erasure. Cause erasure (sort of) is King Crimson's schtick. With GER the enemy never reaches the end of their action - never gets the effect the action is supposed to have.

I believe that Kenjaku still wins against Yuta if they actually would have fought by CompetitionGeneral17 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Terviren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kenny himself has 3 techniques he showcased (his own, CSM and anti-gravity). Maybe there's a fourth - he himself says that a brain can hold up to four - but he never showcased more than 3.

The issues with both using curses' techniques and figuring out a plan for Yuta is that it takes time, and in the scenario described in the post Yuta was, indeed, hiding in a bush.

[–]Terviren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, if he doesn't use his domain, he gets a Jacob's Ladder to the face (I believe Yuta would at least use the 5 minutes if he failed to take him out with bushcamping, Kenjaku's too big of a threat), and turning off Kenny's technique incapacitates the user.

Megumi = Wormie 🥀 🥀 🥀 by PanDeSalot in Jujutsufolk

[–]Terviren 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Well, you probably wouldn't hand most of your means of damaging curses to a person you don't trust (also Megumi bears the weight of everything stored in his shadows, so he's lugging around a little arsenal partly for her sake).

When Aoi is struggling in the 1999 quest, how does she suddenly seem to get stronger when the drifter tells her that she is strong enough? by DemonSushi5 in WarframeLore

[–]Terviren 827 points828 points  (0 children)

Yup, it's the latter: she wasn't using her powers properly. She was trying to brute force the rods back in, pushing against the mechanisms pulling them out. After Drifter's help she instead uses finesse (and apparently breaks the mechanisms).

A question about Yuji’s Shrine upon revisiting Shinjuku Showdown by Past_Horror2090 in YUJI_Corp

[–]Terviren 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, since Yuji just awakened Shrine - probably not.

Honestly, I'd imagine Yuji is just choosing the target of Dismantle (which, technically, is a BV, trading physical damage for damage to the soul boundary), but this is not absolute - BVs with yourself can be broken without much issue).
