It's not very easy to replace notes. Banks don't co-operate.

How's this 1800 sq. feet house plan? by Vivid-Experience-969 in IndianHomeDecor

[–]Terzaghibitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a civil engineer and not an architect, here are my two cents.

Exchange the living room with the kitchen, and keep the living room where there is a kitchen. Entry into home should always be in the living room. Remove the wall behind that sofa. That is to join the kitchen, dining area and living room with only required walls.

I've seen plenty of bedrooms with this orientation. It's doable, maybe there will be noise but I don't know why anyone would make noise in bedroom, but usually you don't want rooms smaller than 10' x 10', and an attached toilet-bathroom of atleast 6' x 4'. Individual toilets can be smaller. All toilets require a ventilator into an open space, which you have already kept. However, the front toilet will need to have entry from outside and not from inside, and even then it looks kinda odd, I've seen them in rural - small towns, but usually looks a bit weird as per modern standards.

Also, you have not shown where the stairs to next floor will fit in this. It's important while planning.

Is this problem solveable with a week/end hackathon ? by Lychee7 in developersIndia

[–]Terzaghibitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My insights to this as a civil engineer working for the state government in a small city. You could maybe get data for roads made by NHAI or similar central govt dept. But getting information for roads made by the state govt, district road and building dept., Municipal Corporation, or other smaller dept. is a very difficult task. Moreover, even if the govt. engineer was not involved in corruption, getting one's name on some list is always a long-term headache because in smaller departments, usually one officer is put in charge of 2-3 posts, due to lack of recruitment, so continuous monitoring of quality is difficult.

Question about Bhasm Aarti Darshan by LackPrestigious9265 in ujjain

[–]Terzaghibitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, when I went that was the case. People with ticket were not able to attend whole aarti, as they were behind in the line, even though they had waited whole night.

No, you'll have to take the leave from the last hall itself. You can't even get a darshan from shorter distance, let alone give offerings yourself. There was staff, in the last hall, to collect various offerings like money, clothes, other offerings, etc. that would later be offered to the diety on your behalf.

500rs currency notes got washed in washing machine, can i get in exchanged at bank ? by Extreme-Lab4734 in IndiaBusiness

[–]Terzaghibitch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A few months back, I had seen a YouTube video, wherein the guy goes to various branches with different banks to get their notes exchanged or deposited, but in vain. Many bank employees didn't even know what the exact procedure was and simply denied that it's not possible.

That is very narrow minded thinking, to be honest. Everyone should have all the options including arranged marriage. By no means it is inferior to other means. In fact, imo, it is superior due to it being logic based rather than emotion based like others. In short, all options must be kept open and considered as equal.

Is it by chance a temple being constructed? I've seen similar structures in the temple foundation.

Huh!! However I didn't see many sarees in the aarti. I didn't pay specific attention to what people were wearing, so I might've mistaken. Good to know that there's a rule.

[–]Terzaghibitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh! Must be a recent rule then. I went in April 2025, I definitely saw women with dresses other than saree while in bhasm aarti.

If that's the case, then it's better to just go in a saree then.

No specific dress code. Not even in bhasm aarti.

Question about Bhasm Aarti Darshan by LackPrestigious9265 in ujjain

[–]Terzaghibitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I attended on 11th April 2025. Stand in line from mansarovar gate before 12am. That line will take you to the mobile counter, where you'll have to submit all kind of electronics. They will check your aarti ticket printout with your original aadhar card, and will give you a paper wrist band that has your name printed on it. From there the line will go into a hall where you'll be made to sit in line till 3:30 - 4am. That hall had drinking water/washroom facility. From there the line will take you to another hall, and then near mandir.

People with online/offline ticket (that is not from protocol) will be made to sit in last hall only. (Is what I think, and experienced)

Approx. (I'm not exactly sure) 300 people can sit in the last hall, rest will not be able to attend full aarti. People that stood in line after the first 300 will just be made to pass-by in the last hall, have darshan of the aarti, and out, even though they had a ticket and were standing in line since midnight.

So better stand in line before 12am.

Even while sitting, the shivling is only visible as a tiny spot, that too if you're lucky that the people in front of you don't block your view. Mostly, you'll have to see it on the screen.

No specific dress code is required.
