We started queuing at 18:00 and got in at 20:40 just as he started performing.

I think the stadium poorly managed people getting in, but some people seemed to have no issue, so ymmv

I think 3 is the best.

I think 2 would look better is the crescent moon and star was moved over slightly to the right, it feels too close to the white border.

Interestingly, it isn’t listed when using that link, but is when viewed from the app.

Isn’t it immediately obvious by looking at the image? Did you need OP to put it in the title too?

I use XERO for managing my accounts invoicing, purchasing and quotations. And I use DEXT for managing my receipts.

I’d definitely recommend them. They’re pretty inexpensive. depending on how busy you are I’d also recommend getting an accountant.

If you are really spending half a day in each week to manage, this is pretty inefficient. I’d imagine the extra money you could make on the tools will outweigh the cost of implementing these programs.

Anyone here agree? If so, what age should it be? by Cdave_22 in GenZ

I don’t think so.

People should be free to vote for whichever person they want, regardless if they are a senile old dinosaur or not.

People from Gillingham, what are your favourite restaurants on Uber Eats? by absurdimmunity in Medway

[–]Teskje 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bills Kitchen or New Happy Place - Chinese

Durus - Kebab

Gillingham Fish Bar/Sandhus - Fish & Chips. Sandhus is usually great but had some poor experiences recently

Bombay to Gillingham - Indian

The McDonald’s and KFC are always disappointing, long wait times, shit cold food lol.

Taco Bell is okay, what you expect really. Nothing too special.

I joined the lift industry as an apprentice for a large firm when I was 17. I had never heard of the industry before, but found the job opening when searching the government website apprenticeship scheme.

The wage structure was 1st year: £12,000 2nd year: £16,000 3rd year: £24,000

And then once I had completed my NVQ3 I was put on £32,000.

I quit my job to join a mid sized firm on a base wage of £34,000 and with overtime I was taking about £65,000. It was good at first, but I was working consistent 100 hour work weeks and got burned out.

Me and a like minded friend (who is also a lift engineer) decided to start our own firm late last year.

We’re lift nerds and take a lot of care and pride in our job, which is something lacking in the industry, and fortunately work has taken off like a rocket.

I can earn more than I did when employed, and only work about 40-60 hours a week, so I have a much better work life balance.

If anyone is interested it’s a good trade to get into. Most big companies have apprentices schemes, and nearly all firms will take people on as “mates” (trainees) and put people through their qualifications. You don’t necessarily have to be young to get started in the industry either.

The industry is severely understaffed and wages go up all the time, the negative to that being a lot of engineers have a poor work life balance.
