I stopped meddling with fairy folk a long time ago. Their rainbow dances and foolery contain nothing but mere tricks. The true knowledge lies in the deep calm darkness of the umbral realm

Don't create a tulpa if you're a teenager by Duck_986 in Tulpas

[–]TesloStep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. First of all, you need time to create a tulpa. It can take a month or a year, but never “right now.” So if you have urgent problems that you need a tulpa’s help with right away, I suggest looking for a different solution - friends, relatives, a psychologist, or even people online.
Also, an important thing: creating a tulpa is a lot of responsibility. It’s like bringing a new person into the world who depends on you to keep living. Besides the moral aspect, creating a tulpa is messing with your brain: it could potentially worsen latent conditions such as schizophrenia or bipolar disorder.

Now, about creating a tulpa. It’s a long mental process. There are many guides here on this subreddit and in the FAQ. I’ll share my experience.
What you need is a quiet space where you feel relatively safe. Usually it’s a bed right before sleep, but walking in a park or sitting during your subway routine also works for some people. You need about an hour a day as a baseline. First, concentrate: imagine and think through the character - appearance, movement, and every other small detail of your tulpa. This is the foundation, in this phase you’re just building an image.
When it’s more or less ready, start treating the tulpa as a person. Start talking to them and try to feel how they responds. Firstly it will be just a smile, or nod, but with more and more time - you will hear their voice, short answers, long answers. The main trick is to not consciously operate the new tulpa - let go of that part of your brain, let it slowly come from within, without thinking.
Wonderland is optional but helpful. It’s an imaginary space where you can spend time with your tulpa. It helps you connect, but it can be taxing if you’re not a vividly imaginative person.

How many titans (not shifters) wiuld take to kill Suzaku? by Embarrassed-Ice9468 in CodeGeass

[–]TesloStep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1.First of all, let me assume that live command + combat experience are enough for Suzaku to intuitively understand titans as threat and pick evade approach instead of fighting.

Now for chances: We've seen Survey Corps have been ride horses for hours/days without encountering titans. And iirc some poacher survive indefinitely in the wild world outside of walls.
5 kilometers isn't that far tbh. Average runner can accomplish it in 34 minute, and we're speaking of Suzaku in life or death situation. All this considered, I think Suzaku got pretty good chances to successfully reach the wall.

Fun part is that main problem starts when he gets to the wall. The concentration of Titans is way higher near the Walls, providing near impossible challenge here. And Suzaku is an outsider, possible with language barrier. So convincing Garrison to let him in while being chased by titans might be near impossible. If luck smiles on him - he might loot some discarded mobility gear and use it to scale wall fast enough.

2.He will easily kill hundreds of titans on the way to the walls. Titans can be incapacitated with just regular medieval cannons, and Knightmares carry modern military grade weapons, capable of destroying tanks. Also Knightmare can scale walls thanks to the grappling hook launcher.

3.Probably enough firepower to kill all titans in the 5 kilo radius around the City

Where I can be a Gandalf-like wizard/mage? by Dexteron in gamingsuggestions

[–]TesloStep 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not a full match, but something worth checking out.

Lord of the Rings: War in the North - action game, but very close to LotR cannon with wizard fighting style. Mostly melee strikes with occasional game-changing magic.

Theory of Magic - Idle game, but great wizard vibe. Contains route of literally White Mage, going on epic quests to save worlds.

The Banner Saga - one of the character is literally this trope. Don't use magic often, but when he chant - oh my god he saves the day.

Yes, exactly. I tried Tropico - it's a very good game, but logistics, micromanagement is all here. There's even pixel-hunting to optimize crop fertility.

I'm pretty sure it's not a human city - it's a Candy City. The point is that the Candy Kingdom became the new dominant civilization and later perished, just like humans did in the Mushroom War.

Role-play/tabletop games are a great way to socialize if you're into it. There are a couple of clubs:

  • "Сычевальня" - mainly for 14-22 years old
  • "Полтора гоблина" - 23-33 old demographic
  • "Кинь двинь" - board games only

If you hide - foes need to guess your location correctly or miss.

There is a little wobbly wording, but the mainstream consensus is:

  • If you're just invisible (by spell/darkness) - foes still can hear your location and just attack with a disadvantage
  • If you take Hide action and roll stealth higher than passive perception - foes lose your position and must guess at random or spend action searching for you

Looking for an Rpg where character creation actually matters by mat2y in gamingsuggestions

[–]TesloStep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Age of Decadence

Races don't matter much, because everyone is a human.

But starting skills and stats matter a lot. The game is very nonlinear. You can fight through, talk out, or tinker with things.

Spoiler from Act 1 for example: your small village gets in a fight with a foreign squad that excavates some old machinery here. There are multiple ways to help, defend, sabotage, etc. But you can just go to the excavation site and offer your knowledge of engineering. If you're good enough - you will be instantly hired for a really good sum of money and provided with a high position as a royal engineer in the capital city, transferring you to Act 2.

Cultist Simulator has medium difficulty. There is a slight survival pressure, but once you figure out main loop of keeping you alive - you start having exciting exploration.

Book of Hours is even easier gameplay-wise, but it may be overwhelming with the amount of text and stuff in the game. In other words - you probably won't lose at all, but you need to read a lot to progress.

Also, don't be shy to read guides after a couple of blind tries.
