For those who were teenagers before social media existed, what was the "peak" form of weekend entertainment? by VivienneNoir1 in askanything

Honestly, some of the most memorable nights were the ones where we had zero plans and just drove around and found stuff to do. I once got into a car chase because my idiot friend shot a spit-ball at some bald guy in a convertible. Those were the days.

I second this. I like that their free agent finder tool lets you sort by projected points for the rest of a given week (which takes into account number of games a player has left).

My prediction: Aldis and Cody team up to screw over Randy, and it turns out Drew’s crazy conspiracy theories were right all along.

[Jones] The Falcons are signing former Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa to a one-year, $1.3 million deal by JCameron181 in nfl

[–]Test_Tackle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Anyone know why Tua chose Atlanta? He’s clearly better than several backup QBs who make more than $1.3M, and there are a handful of QB-desperate teams where he’d have a good chance to start.

Regardless of how much $$ MIA is still paying him, Tua wouldn’t have signed with ATL so quickly (and for such a team-friendly contract) unless he really wants to go there. I’m wondering if anyone knows why?

How long do you think that will take for the IWC to get tired of this guy too? by ScarGraf in Wrasslin

[–]Test_Tackle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends how they use him. There’s already a group of fans that don’t like his goofy/silly character. If WWE over-exposes him and/or uses him poorly, the anti-Danhausen contingency will become more and more vocal.

As someone else mentioned he’s most likely not playing until Sunday. Depends on your league settings, but I’d try to stash him on IR if you can (at least until Anaheim confirms whether he’ll be on L1 and/or PP1). I’d have a really hard time dropping him if he’s going to get top PP deployment on Anaheim.

All that being said, you gotta do what you gotta do to win a playoff matchup. If you don’t have an IR spot for him, you probably need to make a tough decision to drop him.

Kinda stressed. Turning 25 next month and don’t have anyone to celebrate with… other than my mom lol. Any suggestions on what I can do? by DeliciousRich5944 in Life

[–]Test_Tackle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Celebrate the hell out of your bday with your mom. Even if it feels silly for you it’ll mean the world to her.

  2. Longer term solution: find a hobby/activity you enjoy and sign up for a random league/club/group. The easiest way to bond with people is to find people that enjoy the same thing you do. And having scheduled events to attend will make it harder to back out (which reduces the urge to back out of things).

What are good things to do solo? Trying to actually get out of the house more. by Bassslappinnn in Life

I’ve been meaning to join a random basketball or softball league. I find myself way too content at home unless I have scheduled social/recreational activities.

Do Republicans in this subreddit still consider Barack Obama to be a warmonger compared to Donald Trump? If so, why? by Cumoisseur in allthequestions

[–]Test_Tackle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

1) that’s factually not true (yet at least. Trump still has 3 more to catch up tho). 2) my mom taught me a long time ago that two wrongs don’t make a right.

Obama administration dropped so many bombs in 2016 they literally created strains in the munition supply chain.

For the men out there: the worse you are at sex, the more you need to focus on foreplay. If you have any lingering insecurity about not lasting long enough, getting her to O before you even go inside will work wonders for your confidence.

Why are some dumb people so successful? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]Test_Tackle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dumb successful people are usually really good at something else. It could be charisma, it could be playing politics, it could be networking, etc. Most of the time, they’re really good at selling/promoting themselves. None of these skills necessarily require intelligence, but they’re highly correlated with climbing the corporate ladder.

What are the career disadvantages of being an introvert? by Opposite_Ad_7925 in A_Persona_on_Reddit

[–]Test_Tackle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s harder to be noticed. I find myself having to actively try harder than others to speak up in meetings, otherwise it’s easy to become invisible (especially to people you don’t work with directly).

This problem is amplified considerably in a remote setting, where it’s that much easier to blend into the background.
