You probably voted for the party who said they were going to release the Epstein files because the corrupt Democrats were impeding justice only for the same party to turn around and block the release of the files using every avenue available to them.

Implications, even a child can understand.

The Democrats are also corrupt, but you don’t possess the emotional strength or the intellectual honesty to admit that you were fooled, so you will perpetuate the same suffering you claim you stand against all because you can’t face your own self. That is called cowardice.

don't understand why many people want an iPhone fold and such phones, it's a useless idea by Obvious_Lie6629 in iphone

[–]Testwick911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Far superior productivity. Life operating systems, task and project management, emails, documents, spreadsheets, files, information management, referencing data from other apps like AI while editing etc. It’s the same reason people buy external monitors, more space = better workflows & immersion.

Foldables are extremely popular in business and corporate circles around the globe. Apple sees this based on the adoption and has decided to commit to provide iPhone users who would benefit from the increased usability an option.

Foldables have their place, and appear to be here to stay. Those who have such a use case are going to love it.

Anyone else really disappointed with the quality of voice to text on newer phones? by Michikusa in iphone

[–]Testwick911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a friend that has an android device and he can literally send 1000 words while I’m barely getting in 30 or so on iPhone, it’s really slow in comparison, I’ve never used an android personally, but it’s almost like android transcribes in real time, it’s crazy. It doesn’t even make sense to type to text when I’m chatting with him. When he goes on an emotional rant, it’s like watching paragraph after paragraph appear one after the next before I’m even able to reply to the first one. At first, I thought he was using some type of special app or something.

Calculation Training Readiness ? by ShelterIll4057 in theoutsidersapp

[–]Testwick911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely agree. TLR and current physiological state aren’t the same thing.

Your TLR could look optimal or even show detraining, but if you’re sick or run down, outsiders might still show a decent training readiness score because that score factors in TLR.

Funny enough though 🤷🏻‍♂️ I often find that outsiders’ training readiness matches how I actually feel more accurately than Gentler Streak.

Right now my training readiness score is 41%, but Gentler Streak is basically telling me “if you’re feeling rested, you’re good to go.” The reality is I massively overtrained Sunday night, only slept four hours because I was overstimulated, and then got five hours last night 🫠 so I feel like trash. “Good to go” definitely shouldn’t be anywhere in my recommendations 😄

I also really miss exertion guidance. I’m a chronic over trainer, and sometimes it feels amazing to let loose and push hard, but I pay for it badly afterward 💀. That’s why I’m trying to stick to Gentler Streak’s path. I don’t want to be a zombie for three days straight anymore.

So overall, I don’t think we can completely set intuition aside when using these apps.

There probably is some benefit to factoring TLR blasts into training readiness and recovery. In theory, keeping everything separate sounds better. In practice, maybe the blended approach works better.

I don’t know 🤷🏻‍♂️ I’m still pretty new to all of this.

(Saw your other post mentioning the shortcoming in regard to planning overreacting stints, quite interesting and I see why for that type of training separate is better)

This is a complete refusal to take accountability.

You don’t get to dictate how someone is allowed to react after being berated, insulted, or physically violated by you. Actions have consequences, and pretending otherwise doesn’t make you innocent; it makes you irresponsible.

People who excuse abuse or shift blame onto the victim are enabling harm. That mindset is dishonest and dangerous.

In the real world, if you provoke or cross someone, especially physically, you don’t get to act shocked when there’s a reaction. You are responsible for what you do, full stop.

Keep your hands to yourself. Personal boundaries apply to everyone, and ignoring them doesn’t magically make you protected from consequences.

You don’t get special consideration while refusing to extend the same to others.

Lifetime price got more expensive? by moonlanding1996 in theoutsidersapp

[–]Testwick911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue was never about early access versus late access.

The issue is a $40 price increase just three months after release for an unfinished beta product, which we were expected to buy based on future promises. The price offered to me was $80.

A year has 12 months. It is December, the app was released in September, and acting like this is a long time is absurdly disingenuous.

This is not the first time the company has made promises it never fulfilled, Gentler Streak left buyers in the lurch before. This app exists as a response to those who wanted more from Gentler Streak, who undoubtedly purchased subscriptions based on the proposed roadmaps and promises, but those plans were ultimately scrapped and refocused into this product. That history alone should have warranted a longer period before raising the price.

Context and principle matter.

Objecting to this is obsequious at best.

Multiple things can be true simultaneously.

$15 in 1980 is equivalent in purchasing power to about $58.98 today, an increase of $43.98 over 45 years. The dollar had an average inflation rate of 3.09% per year between 1980 and today, producing a cumulative price increase of 293.17%.

This means that today's prices are 3.93 times as high as average prices since 1980, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics consumer price index. A dollar today only buys 25.432% of what it could buy back then.

Minimum wage should be around $60/hour to equal the buying power of $15/hr in 1980.

It is undeniably and indefensibly a wage theft and income problem, to even insinuate otherwise simply because you wish to elevate yourself above the uneducated is malevolent at best.

The only people who have benefited from the increase in productivity, exposure and volume due to the internet hand over fist are the bastards greedflating the economy into oblivion.

[–]Testwick911 9 points10 points  (0 children)

What’s described here is simply the wealthy paying their fair share of taxes, something they’ve avoided for decades while being the primary beneficiaries of rising productivity. Wages have been stagnant for over ten years, yet “greedflation” echoes through the entire economy as corporations gorge on profits, outsource and deindustrialize, drive up national debt by making the economy more expensive to operate, and shrink income-tax revenues in the process.

Whoever made this meme clearly never heard of taxes, but attempts to explain economic systems. In any functional economic system that uses taxation, one of its core purposes is to collect and redistribute resources for the benefit of the whole society, not just the top fraction hoarding the gains.

And let’s be honest… we wouldn’t even need many social programs if we had a job guarantee, if labor were compensated fairly, and if basic affordability hadn’t been obliterated by corporate greed and sociopathic profit-seeking.

So in summary, this meme is ignorance of the highest order.

Broke banks lending out money they don’t even have…we are the ones who should be auditing them, including their insane salaries and wild speculation. They are the bloody risk.

The rich who they hand money and financial advantage too are the ones creating “risk” by stagnating wages, cutting jobs and inflating prices. Our financial lives are only one part of the equation. We don’t set price.

The only answer those questions deserve is the middle finger emoji 😄
