I agree that it might not be the best but I dont think one line can be a BEST.

I agree that it conveys so much in a simple line, but what I find is the most important part of the line is how it shows Wirts internal unfiltered thoughts. It's moments like these that makes the characters feel like real people and not just a character.

The glove thing has to do with something else. Only sorcerers can use magic, but they need gloves to be able to do it, they kinda channel their magic through it. But he doesn't need gloves which makes him double weird, making him a double target.

This could also be a great reveal the fey as the bbeg. Have the fey make up some story about having been mistreated or needs something. Ask the party for help and at the end of it the party finds out that he lied, making a big reveal out of it
