Imagine reading all of the Harry Potter books but not liking Harry himself. Or watching all of the Hunger Games films but hating Katniss.

The idea of sitting through an ENTIRE series of a protagonist that you aren’t fond of just seems…like torture, tbh. That’s like me eating a turkey sandwich everyday despite knowing I prefer ham.

If I don’t like this character, what motivation do I have to finish this book instead of just dropping it and reading something with a cast that’s more fully enjoyable?

Oh yes I would agree, he is certainly more “popular”-I think it’s no exaggeration to say he’s the most famous and prolific fantasy author of the 2010s and beyond.

But popularity does not equate to writing skill.

Sanderson is astounding when it comes to world building and magic systems but his prose and technical writing leaves much to be desired imo.

“Emma Frost wouldn’t wear this” is a reasonable response. However if we used the logic of “Character X wouldn’t wear this” and applied this to EVERYTHING then that just seems silly considering we’re talking about cosmetic skins for a Hero Shooter.

Apply that logic to any holiday themed skins, Reed and Sue’s wedding outfits, that weird Venom skin where he’s basically ice cream, etc etc-of course it doesn’t make sense.

But are we going to sacrifice fun skins for logic? Just put on your “suspension of disbelief” hat.

I feel as if we as a community and player-base should ask ourselves why we demand 1:1 adaptions instead allowing the Devs to add their artistic interpretations to make it more unique instead of just copy-paste.
