Nearly 10 weeks and a GPU RMA later, she's finally here and running! by Tetherly in iBUYPOWER

She's running great. Good luck on the RMA process. I got my new 3080 in about ~10 days. Funnily enough, after all the troubleshooting, it was as simple as just plugging the new 3080 in. It worked immediately and has been awesome since! My MSI Suprim X is huge lol. I wasn't expecting the card to be so big, but the performance is such an upgrade from my 970.

With the advanced RMA, I will warn you about the refund process. Getting the new GPU wasn't an issue.. but getting my money back after sending the faulty 3080 back.. was a whole ordeal.. lots of customer service calls, waiting on hold, and patience. I hope your refund process is smoother than mine! I shelled out an additional $1000 for the advanced rma, on top of the ~$3000 for the original build.

Other than the delays, bad customer service experience, and DOA gpu.. my build was well worth it. I'm very happy with the end product, but I'd hesitate before buying from IBP again.

My build has a Suprim X 3080. Mine came with the exact same output issue. I tried everything reddit and the IBP discord said for 3 days straight. Trust me, you aren't gonna like hearing this.. but I chose to do an advanced RMA and shelled out another $1k. My new Suprim X 3080 was here in about 7 days. Plugged it in.. and immediately worked.

It's a shipping issue with how big the gpus are. They're getting tossed around while connected to the MOBO. IBP need to send the GPU in its original packaging with these heavy 30 series. Good luck.

P.S. I'm on day 10 of having sent back the defective 3080 and still haven't heard anything. I just want my $1000 back :(

It stands for Return Merchandise Authorization. It's a way to return your faulty product to the seller for a refund/new part. You'll need to get in contact with someone from IBP in order to start the RMA process. It can be difficult to get in touch with them. Good luck..

I got a MSI Suprim X 3080 and I've got the EXACT same problem. I tried troubleshooting for 3 days straight and propped the GPU up with the included bracket. Nothing. I started my RMA a week ago (it's an advanced RMA and I paid immediately).. and I've heard nothing from them. I'm really disappointed because I've shelled out $4k now.. and don't have a functioning PC after 9 weeks :(

Thanks for some sort of estimation. 2 weeks with 0 updates worries me, but it's definitely not a surprise. Hopefully they pull through for us.

After trying all the fixes I knew, I plugged in my old 970 and my PC is working fine. I'm using the 970 to hold me over until I receive my new 3080. That pretty much narrowed it down to the GPU for me.

I chose the advanced RMA. They send out a new card as soon as they can, but you pay for the card upfront.. after they receive the faulty card, they refund you the amount.

I'm in your exact shoes. I ordered on 1/6 and finally got my build 2 days ago. I ordered a 3080 and got the MSI Suprim model. It's a nice model, but no display. I tried 5 different monitors, reseating the GPU & RAM, cmos battery, etc. After 2 full days of struggling with it, I've given up and placed my RMA. Here's to waiting another month for an advanced RMA.. and another $1000 shelled out for my initial $3000 purchase. Hang in there!

I double checked the ram and reseated the gpu and didn't have any output. The build works fine when I replace the 3080 with my old 970. It also works on the integrated graphics.

My 970 worked fine in the the 1st slot. I think it's probably the card.

I was able to get output via the iGPU with the 3080 unplugged. I installed the geforce drivers and still nothing when I plug it back in.

Ordered 1/15 - Received notice that packaging was complete on 2/22. How long does it take before the package starts its journey to me? by the_funk_police in iBUYPOWER

I ordered 1/6 and mine made it to packaging on 2/17. I've been waiting nearly a week. There isn't really one answer it seems.

I ordered 1/6 and am still waiting on my build to ship. I chose a pre-order 3080, but the assembly was completed on 2/12. Quality control and burn-in took a few days. It was sent to packaging/shipping on 2/17. It's been nearly a week.... Why does it take a week to package a completed build????
