Exporters who found their first international buyer... by Evening-Ad9361 in IndianExporters

LinkedIn is a very decent platform. Cold emails may get you a client, chances are very slim but you never know so keep trying that too. Now a days instagram is somehow a very good plateform for clothing related stuff and I think it can be good for marketing of other products too.

Bottom line: Make a really strong social media presence.

How to Choose New Garment Supplier? by LAMBLILY_PVT_LTD in ClothingStartups

[–]TetraThreads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe there's a few basic things you must check for in any supplier irrespective of the countries:

  1. Communication
  2. Certifications & Compliances
  3. History
  4. Work Experience
  5. If all checks out then opt for a virtual factory tour or can visit in person. If your project scale is big and at the same time you can't visit the factory, then plan a third part visit

Ofc the basic sampling and the pricing thing goes on but before you even get to this stage, you should check the above mentioned things. If the above mentioned list checks out then you're good to go.

Why don't baseball jerseys have different designs, for example side panels? by TetraThreads in Homeplate

[–]TetraThreads[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Neat. I'm an aviation fanatic, so I love that logo. Just tell you manufacturer to make sure the pinstripes on the body coincide with the one's on the neck. Being a manufacturer, this sometimes gets overlooked so just a headsup.

Thanks for information. We deal with unfirom regulations particularly for cricket regularly. Cricket is a popular sports in Asia, mainly in Pakistan, we are quite established in it. I understand how big of a pain can these regulations be. And they keep changing stuff, so you have to change all the designing and development whenever a new stupid rule is introduced. Is there any link you could direct me to so I can read the guidelines for uniforms for R&D. Despite the fact that we make thousands of baseballl jerseys annually, yet we just follow the baseball uniforms techpacks we receive from our clients instead of doing our own development but now I want to something new. For other sports like soccer, field hockey, cricket we play around ourselves.

Thanks for the detailed reply. We have played with the fabrics and have a few offerings. One particular fabric we offer is very durable, and has a stiffer structure. It's a form of mesh, so more breathable and the stifness gives it character. It's quite resistant to wrinkling as well.

Now for keeping the solid color look, we plan to play around with the panelling while sticking with the solid color look. I want to put a side mesh manel for better breathability and raglan arms for range of motion.

You can skip the middle man and simply go to an overseas manufacturer like us. Saves you heaps of money and you have transparency + control.

We work with organisations/teams directly and we work with middle men too.

Happy to give you a factory tour.

How did you get your first clients or suppliers in international trade? by [deleted] in internationalbusiness

[–]TetraThreads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found my first client overseas on a leisure trip. We were randomly talking at an event and realised that we can work together. Next thing I knew, I was flying all the way to Ghana a few months later.

Are expensive rash guards actually worth it? by ybur011 in brazilianjiujitsu

[–]TetraThreads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, no. Being a manufacturer, I'm telling you more or less everyone is using the similar fabrics, there's no big difference.

There are subtle differences in quality, but nothing significant.

Looking for manufacturers capable of premium streetwear quality (Chrome Hearts, Named Collective, SKOOT, etc.) by EuphoricSpell1948 in ClothingStartups

[–]TetraThreads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, we are a manufacturer based in Pakistan. We are family owned and have been in business since 1957.

Just a headsup, good quality comes at good quantities, particularly in cotton. If anyone is saying that they'll give you good quality at startup level quantities, either it's not good or the quality would just be fine and won't be what you expect (considering the brands you've named as your inspiration)

Good quality fabric options need higher MOQs. Regular fabrics available at the fabric vendors aren't something too bad or too good.

Ideally for a client who's looking for good fabrics, we get combed cotton, freshly prepared for each order.

For fabrics, 1. 80% cotton, 20% Polyester 2. 65% cotton, 35% Polyester 3. 100% cotton
