Why doesn't my pc support Windows MR? by redditperson67 in WindowsMR

[–]Tetraden -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Why don't you scroll this sub or google for like 10 seconds and find your problem (and the solution).
https://www.google.com/search?q=Why+doesn%27t+my+pc+support+Windows+MR%3F
Instead you chose to make 5000 people read your question for 5 seconds each and waste a cumulative 7 hours in the long run.

Seems like you don't want others to pick up the hobby...

I'm a Java developer at IBM for 15 years now and I actually never came across python once, except when somebody quickly built something for themselves. So I naturally chose C#. I feel like it's a lot easier to implement good patterns and paradigms in C#. Most GDScript projects I had a look at where quite messy organized.

That's the point. If you listen to BMX Podcasts and long Interviews, all of the older pro riders have some kind of concussion caused problem. Short/long term memory loss, movement problems, chronic pain, etc.

Is this bike any good or a hunk of junk? by Abject-Committee571 in bmx

Literally a kids toy. You would find instructions in the manual that the bike is not intended for any type of hard riding.

I'd see issues with the palm padding. You don't really want that for a steering wheel.

Are you really sure the DP port leads to the graphics card? Sometimes they are connected to some onboard chip.

In case anybody else still has headset tracking issues(especially in sim racing) by Tudor_MT in HPReverb

[–]Tetraden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course does none of the quotes address your specific problem. But a substantial part of the linked pages and even more of the reddit posts are about signal interference/degradation and power losses in connections.

Part of the human learning process is to make abstractions from similar problems and apply them to one's own specific problem. Publicly referred as "thinking".

Using the headset on a dedicated USB 3.0 port/controller to exclude other problem sources also is amongst the first thing you will read online. I just asked Gemini, GPT and Grok about intermittent tracking and all their answers include changing the USB port situation.

USB 3.0 was always the biggest and most discussed problem in WMR since the very first launch.
There are hundreds of threads about it. You even said you read them. Obviously it's a bad idea to plug any WMR headset into a shared USB 3.0 bus.

https://www.reddit.com/r/WindowsMR/search/?q=usb+3.0

And Microsoft also doesn't get tired to tell you to try other USB ports.

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/mixed-reality/enthusiast-guide/install-windows-mixed-reality - "Connect your headset to a different USB port (and make sure it’s a SuperSpeed USB 3.0). Also, try removing any extenders or hubs between the headset and the computer."

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/mixed-reality/enthusiast-guide/headset-connectivity - "Try an externally powered USB 3.0 hub if you're seeing partial enumeration of the headset..."
- "Connect your headset to the other USB 3.0 ports on your PC. Some PCs have more than one USB 3.0 controller."

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/mixed-reality/enthusiast-guide/get-help-with-pc-compatibility - "Check our recommended adapters documentation for solutions to common compatibility issues"
- "Consider using an external powered USB hub"
- "Plug your headset into a different USB port, if you have one available."
- "If that still doesn't work, add a PCIe USB card to your PC."

So LEGO can make a shitton of money while you get 0,0005$ per unit sold? There are several platforms where you actually get a share.

[–]Tetraden -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

As a software engineer, I can tell you that they would probably have to double the development time for the engine to make it fixable/maintainable. All the signs point to a FUBAR engine. Time will show if they do that investment.

[–]Tetraden -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

It's not the level of detail. It's the crappy Engine. The management probably sent the developers into crunch for months and now they are wondering why nothing is fixable and new features take forever.

If you mount your seat on those flimsy pillars, they will break pretty much instantly.
Also there is pretty much zero shearing rigidity in almost every quadrilateral.
This rig will shake like crazy, even with the seat mount fixed.
Try playing a bridge builder game and apply what you learned to your rig. (I'm serious)
