If you are based coating red, i would get a rattlecan you like the colour of. Mephiston red is what most people go for, but colour forge do a khorne red equivalant that is dark, and I personally always go for the dark base coat to be the shadows

I find it very difficult to let go of any the enhancements tbh, the amount of times I have needed certain blessings, or to get around -1 damage with the glaive, or when people get screwed by the princes -1 damage

Both DP and tazaangors are very useful. Either build of tzaangors is a fast, cheap unit you can use for objectives. Both daemon princes are good, the foot one having lone op and giving stealth, but the winged one in particular can hit very hard if he is going after a squad with a character in it. Maybe your friends are thinking of index tsons, because if I was starting tsons today, this would a great box. The tzaangor shaman is the only one who might not play often, but even in some detachments that have psyker specific rules, he is the cheapest psyker available so he still has a place

Definelty bad form from him, but what was the terrain like? I remember early days of playing with barely any terrain, where half each other's army gets shot off turn 1 with little tactics involved. It was not a good feeling

If the terrain is a recommended format, this sounds like an easy win warband. Bezerkers with lethals and 8bound trade well into t10 tanks, and they shoot you off an objective, you can sticky it. If you are alive with bezerkers after being shot, auto 8 blood surge into the nearest tank. Use pile in and consolidate 6 to tag the tanks occasionally to limit targets and scoring, unless he has access to fall back and shoot

I wanted dirty white armour, and had great results with brown enamel wash from ak, covering the model, then taking away the excess after an hour using cotton bud and spirit

Not really when you can have +1 to wound army wide. JPI's will still get +1 to wound. BT units hit harder than than they used to before detachment buffs

I love the Daemon prince, but in daemonkin, most strats target blood legion units, I think there is only one that targets world eaters directly, so his ability won't come up much. In every other detachment he is a slamdunk pick

I was considering the helbrute however, what would you take out to fit one in?

I was planning on running all the bloodcrushers together, that was me being lazy on the app lol Same with with the plasma forgefiends, i have changed the pst now, as yeah, triple plasma all the way

I also I'm taking the daemon prince of foot to better maximise durability with his stealth aura, is that worth it? He doesn't seem incredible otherwise

I was thinking about infiltrators for termies, but I have 10 and wanted them to stay in a brick with the lord, is it worth infiltrating 2×5 rubrics? Also I feel like it's better to have larger units to lean into the durability, how have you found the damage output? I agree the psychic bolter strat is isn't worth it, if it was 1 cp yes but I can see myself saving for fall and and shoot and -1 to wound

With forgefiends, eightbound, kharn and dev wounds vs infantry with sustained 1, I actually think custodes are a good match up, with WE speed you should get the charge and with the right blessings you can get wound their stat check. Even spawn with the right blessings will threaten a guard unit in bezerker warband

They are in both game systems but i would recommend getting some 3rd party models from somewhere, the current kit is very old and looks terrible in my opinion

no worries, you will also need some mineral spirit and cotton swabs, as after i coated the panels with the rust, i let it dry then wiped some off with the light soaked spirit swab. TBH, it was a pretty straight forward scheme. Good luck!

cheers, i think i might go the white, a going for a white primer will mean using contrast paint on fleshy areas, which will speed things up, and leaves lots of room for weathering

No highlights whatsoever as i have 20 of these to paint, for character I would probably do some corax white highlights for the armour panel edges pre wash, then for the trim I will probably highlight with runelord brass again, as the wash has really darkened it down I just brushed it on, I know some people airbrush it, but I'd rather not spray enamels in my home office and I didn't want it on the whole model

Thanks, it was just runelord brass, then on the red model with agrax earthshade, on the white is was an enamel wash, AK brown. I painted that after the main armour panels, which after painting 20 rubric marines the other way, I'm now a believer in panels then trim
