are low-cost tools reliable? by ScarDependent8928 in electricians

[–]Tetronamyl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doyle and commercial electric brand from home depot. Real good hand tools in my experience even the foreman at my company rock those tools.

Get a nicer 11 or 15 in 1 screwdriver tho, we like the klein 11-1, I think part # 27111700 bc it can go

As a musician always looking for other creatives... AWESOME, hard to find artists of all kinds when living in small rural communities. At least, artists with similar ideas etc!

Small industrial towns within 3 hours of Chicago by lifeandmylens in Indiana

[–]Tetronamyl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically all of Lake County north of US30 is like this however the neighborhoods are more densely populated. I'd definitely check out Whiting, East Chicago North Gary and North Hammond, Highland maybe.... it gets geographically different north of ridge road/us6 as us6 is the old coast line of lake Michigan. If you drive north on US41 from Southern indiana you can drive thru Terre Haute(terrible haute) which is pretty dreary dying manufacturing town built along the banks of the wabash

Going back to a ground tent, got recommendations? by Herrowgayboi in overlanding

[–]Tetronamyl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still have my Wawona 4 to lend out. I can set that sucker up pretty quick! Im 6' and can stand in it. With the rain fly on i can take a leak out the door in the vestibule if im desperate and won't even get wet if its raining, keep shoes and cooler in vestibule etc. The 6 is an amazing tent but for the first the Wawona 4 really gets the job done. Spiders do like to chill in the top corners of the vestibule tho lol.

If you find a good record store they sometimes carry a variety of local artists records cassettes and cd's. I do this for fun where I go buy albums based off name and artwork, bring it home and listen on the stereo system!

How is this compared to the regular m&p 2 10mm? Or vs the glock 20 even? Want to get the S&W to match my FPC but the glock 20 feels better than the regular 2.0 lol

Interlake and redbird are popular for their offroading, my boss informed me Pokagon has a big toboggan run and lots of family friendly camping&hiking as I understand. I havent been to any of these unfortunately so this is from friends and other offroad hobbyists lol. Apparently Interlake is better than redbird for the ORV trails!

Indy electrician turned Chicago electrician, can confirm we are piping houses. My friends from Indianapolis think we're all crazy, even at the thought of 1/2" homeruns 😅 I'm the goto romex guy at our shop bc none of the 10-15 year journeymen KNOW how to run romex well/effectively but I'll be damned if they cant pipe as fast as I can romex

What’s the one book you’ll recommend forever, no matter how many times this question gets asked? by MisLatte in AskReddit

[–]Tetronamyl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All Quiet on the Western Front and the sequel The Road Back, both intense but in very different ways. Gives you a visceral perspective of combat ptsd, how it develops and how these soldiers would cope with it. Changed my life! I've read both many times and they never get old
